conflating single issue voters with closet bigots is how you make the situation more divisive and foster animosity btw
regardless of how this guy actually voted, i know many people voted for him in 2016 because his campaign was extremely vocal about ending proxy wars. the focus shouldn't be on them, it should be on the people who voted for him 3 times and still try to dodge accountability and deflect shame by marketing themselves as a "centrist"
