Here is my advice. When someone tells you who they are believe them. Get out. DO NOT contact police or any kind of law enforcement until you are gone and safe. People like this will escalate if they feel threatened.

You can get new documents, clothes and items. Even if you only escape with the clothes on your back, wallet and phone. Make sure your family cannot track your phone. Make sure any communication you have with your helpers is locked down. Use an app your family doesn't use or understand, like Snapchat or Discord. Have your helpers or uber pick you up a few houses down in the middle of the night if you have to.

You would be surpised who still cares for you. Reach out to family, to old friends, to anyone you think could help, either by giving you a ride or taking you in for awhile. I haven't talked to my best friend from collage for over a decade, but if she called me needing help I would drop everything and head her way.

Also, I live east coast and hell, maybe I could give you a ride to somewhere depending on where you are going.

Lastly, please take this seriously. You are not overreacting. Your life may very well be in danger, and just like with any other abusive relationship, leaving is the most dangerous part. Nothing you own outside of your ID and medications are worth dying for.

A Third of North America’s Birds Have Vanished

I've kept my birdfeeders full, put out water for them, kept many thorny bushes I'd rather remove bc the songbirds love to nest in them and I am still seeing a decline. Not in the number of total birds, but each year the diversity goes down. Less songbirds, woodpeckers and hummingbirds, more cowbirds, more blackbirds. It's alarming.

I realize this is just my backyard, but it's wierd seeing a mass extinction just...play out. Right in front of me.

Pretty much.

I had this guy move in down the street from me. Except more overwieght and only had a thin blue line flag. Apparently he owned a couple acres of land by the road. First the camper appered, followed by the beer cans and tarps strung up everywhere. His days consisted of sitting in various delapidated, cheap plastic lawn chairs and drinking. Clothing optional if it was hot enough. And let me assure he, he was a tighy whitey kinda guy. Or more like tighty browny if you know what I mean.

The county caught up with him a few weeks later, and that's when the portajohn appeared. This was not an improvement, because the wind blew it over and nobody stood it back up. Also the wind was shredding the tarps, creating these streamers of plastic that waved in the wind like those crappy inflatable tube men outside of the car dealership.

Finally it came out when he got arrested that he was hiding from arreest warrents in another state. Someone came and got the portocrapper and camper, leaving only the beer cans and shredded tarps as a reminder of our temporary nieghbor.

1 out of 10, would not recommend. Nothing like the smell of hot tipped over portojohn wafting on the wind.
