Still waiting on that Linux version of Killing Floor 2 that they promised

Does the USA have gifted schools or was Spider-Man Homecoming lying?
I went to a magnet school in Florida. It was a "school within a school" in a public school. They'd bus you in from where ever in the county, instead of forcing you to go to your assigned school - except they stopped that a couple years in which made it a lot less accessible for many people. But it was free and admission was based on writing an essay.

The USA prided itself on a nation of immigrant, heck even the Statue of Liberty says it. When did immigrants (US citizens from the old world) become anti immigrant and why?
People hated immigrants DURING the time period you're thinking of. And it wasn't always a skin color thing either, the Irish were one of the big targets for a long time.

I really don't understand why companies can't post their pricing on their website ?
Because they want to have you as a marketing contact for their sales people to cold call until the end of time after you don't buy it. It also let's them do variable pricing based on how much they think you'll pay.

Reply in thread
Yeah, it's a hotel tax and scales with the price of the hotel. The top end (for hotel over $665 a night) is a 10% tax.

What's going to happen to gas stations as cars electrify?
Selling gas is already not profitable. They typically sell it at slightly above cost. The real money maker is the convenience store attached.

If a contestant on Jeopardy! gave the correct response "Alexandre Dumas" but pronounced the surname as "dumb ass", would the response be accepted?
Probably accept it but correct them. We shouldn't penalize people for only having read words, not heard them.
