Don't care about achievements play games till like 70% then drop them. If it stops being fun I'm done, finishing a game is never a requirement don't have time for that

Phil Spencer blames capitalism for games industry woes: 'I don't get [the] luxury of not having to run a profitable growing business'
I think the real problem is businesses have to grow. If most big companies weren't publicly traded then just being profitable would be enough.
Imagine making enough money to pay you and everyone else in your company a great wage one year, but it being bad because it wasn't more profit than last year.

Consistency is key
Burgers are ground beef and should never be cooked anything less than well done. Its just not safe. With a steak all the dangerous bacteria is on the surface so you can cook it less. If you grind it you introduce the same bacteria into the inside of the pattie so it far less safe so have medium rare or any less than cooked through burger

Also "ye" in olde English is just pronounced the. It's wasn't a y it was used for the letter thorn which made the th sound. They never said ye. So there's no way the Spanish would translate to fake old english

What are some fun ways to prank an asshole neighbor I'm moving away from?
Look up where the property line really is, and if the neighbor is encroaching get it surveyed and enforced the the new owner can reclaim part of the neighbor's land

What is a command you accidentally taught your pet?
I taught my half Maltese half shih tzu the command move over. Every time I'd take her for rides she'd sit in my lap and if I needed to go around a corner I'd say move over and put her in the passenger seat. Now if she's in my spot on the couch she'll growl if I try to move her. But say move over and she'll go

He also admits to pirating games and media. So like I think I agree, adblockers are a way to access things without "paying". Think people thought he was saying piracy like it was a bad thing. But I think he was just being literal.

AMD just revealed its Ryzen 9000 CPU prices, and they’re disappointing [Ryzen 5 9600X = $279. Ryzen 7 9700X = $359]
These are cheaper than the last two generations were, seems good

Gen Z are over having their work ethic questioned: ‘Most boomers don’t know what it’s like to work 40+ hours a week and still not be able to afford a house’
Reply in thread
If they go to the office twice a week with an hour and a half commute each way that's six hours a week driving. So 52 weeks a year that's 312 hours or 13 days. Still not great but my commute is about 30min one way. I work five days a week so five hours a week, which would still be about 10 2/3 days a year. They also said they only have to commute once OR twice a week so they still probably drive less then the 13 days a year.
I'm just saying, sounds like a good deal
