There are people on this site, coherent and educated, that have not been alive, when this meme was created.

I'm old

During an interview for an office job without contact to clients they told me I should do something about my hair because they are a conservative, family owned company and wanted to represent this.

I simply had long, clean hair in a pony tail. I walked out of there, didn't want that job and am proud of that.

Uhm, in Germany it's completely normal for police to assist in situations of mental health and instead of shooting them they talk to them, or, as a last resort, restrain people and bring them back to a care facility, unharmed.

Police receive proper 3 year training and most of them even have a required university degree.

Don't drop any acorns and cut all trees in the surrounding area

4%, absolute madman, probably only had time to make this post and can't answer comments anymore

Thank you, that was a good and interesting start of the day

That's the part of this story I'm really fascinated by. Or he already has a very specific collection of items and that's why he got asked. Some people collect the weirdest stuff.

This might be the main reason. My grandfather passed away two years ago and he was the one who I talked to a lot about this when I was a kid even though he not always wanted to for understandable reasons, but it gave me a clear image that WWII was real and that fascism is something I never ever want to have in this world again and that voting right wing is one of the worst things one can do.

I also visited Auschwitz 15 years ago and that left a lasting impression I will never forget.

It always amazes me that, in more than just America, so many people are convinced by people like Trump.

There might not be the one perfect system but it should be allowed to modernize some flaws to prevent exactly this and allow more parties to exist.

Sync was the only way Reddit was usable and now we get the same benefits for Lemmy. The dev actually listens to feedback and deserves every praise he gets.

The way some countries discard of their veterans I'm not that surprised.

Production error nightmares, PEN. Seriously, sometimes, after working on a problem for a long time, even if rigorous testing in multiple testing environments by different people was involved, these still happen.

I think this might be my key takeaway. He is wiling to address exactly this problem and might continue in the future. Even if you don't benefit from it, it shows a clear path he is willing to take.

Psst, that's another secret

Always remember, 50% of the population has an iq < 100 and a significant part of the population doesn't know reflection besides their mirror alter ego.

Depending on the severity the mood should switch back to zero rather quickly

Sony has been part of at least one major data leak. They don't have to tell anyone since all of their data already is on the internet.

The future isn't necessarily positive I guess
