Poilievre calls Niagara Falls home 'tiny little shack,' apologizes to tenant

Just another example of a disconnected politician that use the plight of the people for their thin veiled arguments in their circle jerk of "we care about the people but not enough to actually be productive in finding an appropriate solution".

Wild that Poilevre has never come across one of these houses considering they line the Lakeshore corridor and are an important part of our pre/post war history.

"Grew up a house similar" to this one but describes it as a shack. So which is it? Is it a shack or the home that's in the real-estate listing (which clearly isnt a shack) cause those are very different descriptions.

And this isn't just Poilevre, all three parties do the same shit. These people don't care about the average Canadian just what makes them look good in the moment.

More than 1.6m sign petition opposing Starmer’s plan for digital ID cards

Reply in thread

I don't agree with the digital ID since it has implications to snowball further down road into a tool for a implemented authoritarian surveillance state.

But the fact everyone basically carries a smartphone with personal data that is linked to private corporations is kinda ironic.

Like the government can't have a digital footprint of you but Google, Apple, Samsung etc can.

I'm sure these private companies are the bastions of privacy. They surely won't sell your data or bend over to government subpoenas at the first real threat to their bottom line.

No discussion regarding this digital ID has rwally mentioned this and I find it incredibly concerning.

There should be base line regulation stopping this both at the private and governmental levels. But if the last 5ish years have shown in the world, most people are realistically comfrontable and complacent in all this. At least until the gestapo are at your door., but then it's a week bit too late isn't it.

Castelul Bran (Bran Castle - tourists' "Dracula" residence), Transylvania, Romania

Honestly for 70 Lei it wasn't a bad experience but the whole feel of the castle is almost entirely to play into the cliche vampire/medieval fantasy trope and for tourist to say they have visited a castle.

My recommendation is to visit, but keep expectations at a min. I've been twice now and both times felt lack luster and meh.

If you want a real cool castle like experience and are in Brasov, take the train down to Sinaia and visit Peeles castle. You will not regret it at all. From the grounds, the exterior and the interior, it really is something out of fairy tale or something.

Corvin's castle near Deva is another great castle to apparently vist over Bran but I never got the ability to visit so I can't speak to that as much.

It's not sexist when it's Christianity

You do realize that it's a choice made by the woman herself right? If you enter Othrodox church as a woman not wearing one they won't kick you out. It's also a tradition not a requirement.

I've been in my fair share of Orthodox churches in Romania and very few women actually wear a veil for normal church services.

List of video games notable for negative reception

Yeah, that's a bit disingenuous take on the situation at the time.

While Sony could have toned down the marketing and better worked with Hello games, Sean Murray went on a absolute PR streak lying over and over in so many interviews about features that weren't in the game at the time and realistically wouldn't be added until many years after.

Then they released a half baked game which was missing basically every feature the gaming community was actually excited about.

They remdemed themselves and NMS in its current form is a fantastic game deserving of praise, but Hello Games deserved all the hate at the time. Entirely their fault.

Canada’s birth rate has dropped off a cliff (and it’s likely because nobody can afford housing)

I don't know what province youre in but also the skyrocketing cost of food and groceries.

What I got a couple years ago with $100 doesn't buy shit now a days.

Fuck our government both federal and provincial, and all parties. Fuck every politician that sits in parliament collecting a pretty 6 figure paycheque and watching their real-estate asset appreciate as Canadians get perpetually fucked over time and time again.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - Stalkers! Patch 1.3 has arrived! : actualités Steam

100% true, but I also feel like Stalker 2 has pandered more to those casual gamer audiences since they clearly can't survive as a game developer off of us fans alone.

Stalker 2 definitely feels less abrasive and challenging than previous titles and mods.

But I also have hundreds of hours in GAMMA and Anomaly so I've got my biases and know how Im suppose to play. I am use to being aggressively abused and punished by the game, which is a very different experience from the casual "mainstream" gamers.

Who is doing PreRelease for Obsidian Flames?

I've never been to my LCS's prereleases or tournaments so I can't say on that. I appreciate the Pokémon tcg community but its not my vibe, so I just buy my shit and leave.

As for Obsidian Flames there's been nothing major leaked so far, so its hard to tell if it'll be a banger of a set. Regardless though it's going to be a challenge for the set to compete with 151 in Sept.
