There's going to be a few hours of downtime today as I do some relatively large updates on the server. Expect sporadic availability!

I've switched out the front-end software we're using at https://lemmy.beru.co/ to Photon.

The old UI can still be accessed here.

Expect downtime tomorrow (Wednesday, 2024.11.12) at around 10pm UTC.

Downtime should be for a couple hours as I update us to Lemmy v0.19.6 and work on the server a bit.

Server was down for an hour or so - my bad, was updating to 0.19.5.

Will be updating Lemmy to 0.19.5 tonight (10pm-ish EST), so expect a 12 hour window of downtime.

Images will be down for a bit longer (an hour) while I migrate our backend storage. That's part 1 of a 2 part series of fixes I'll be doing to potentially fix server issues.

The second part will require me to take the server offline for a bit, so I'm hoping to avoid that unless absolutely necessary.

If all goes well, image uploads should be working again in the long run.

This was my first attempt at oven pizza in an outdoor oven:

Made some pan pizza, the other day. Followed this recipe, with some added Napoli Salame on top.

Note: The white sauce is some home made ranch dressing. As the crust is covered in caramelized cheese/frico, I enjoy dipping it into a special sauce.

Edit: Used the leftover tomato juice for a bloody mary, which is in the glass next to the pizza.
