You know there's something about dealing with the lagginess in the past few days makes me appreciate the fast and responsive of the update. It nice to see the community grows and makes the experience at Lemmy feels authentic.

So we started the bid at 40m, Chelsea wanted 70m. Both sides end up at 55m with 5m addon. Not exactly sure what the addons conditions are but I heard its difficult to meet. In the event Mason meet those addons conditions, we'd be ecstatic to pay Chelsea that 5m. So really, it feels like the deal is at 55m.

With that being said, how do we feel about this deal?

I feel like its a fair deal. The "real" price is closer to 55m than the reported 60m. To me 55m is the right aMount.

Just to put this into perspective. That's less than 1 week of DeGea wage...

Agreed. If we can get between 30-35m from Elanga and Henderson that would be enough to buy Hojlund.

If the reported budget of 120-130m is true, we would realistically have up to 165m after selling Elanga and Henderson.

Deduct 105 (Mount 55m + Onana 50m) from that 165m, we would have 60m to spend on Hojlund.

Once we sell Fred, McGuire we can focus on getting a #4 CB and another backup midfielder.
