We Just Lived Through Two of the Hottest Days Ever. Does Anyone Care?

I hate when they seem to think that everyone doesn't care, but only the billionaires and a few corporations are causing the majority of the climate change.

Why does everyone have to give up eating meat, so that companies like SpaceX can dump more Methane than cows burp in a a year because they save money on Methane fuel?

Why does everyone have to buy new super expensive electric cars without any increases in minimum wages in 15 years?

Why do we all have to live in mega cities with mass transit and walking everywhere, but I'm disabled and walking everywhere will send me back into a wheelchair.

It bugs me that everything in the climate change news puts it on everyone, instead of calling all of the major polluters to account and their politicians who keep pushing the gas petal for money.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure most of the regular people just can't afford to make the needed changes because the economy is so top-heavy that no corporation is willing to increase their labor costs because of greed.

But, maybe it's just me.

Your Windows 10 PC will soon be 'junk' - users told to resist Microsoft deadline

Yep. Gaming is starting to work on Linux, so I will move to Linux once Microsoft cancels 10.

11 has nothing more than more telemetry and tracking going for it. Gaming is slower, so why would I upgrade for a worse experience.

I play old games still anyways. Linux is more secure than Windows 11 anyways. I won't upgrade to 11, and turned off TPM in BIOS so 11 won't automatically install.

Google engineers want to make ad-blocking (near) impossible

They do have the send tab to device feature. I send tabs to my son, who lives with his mom all the time.

As long as the devices are connected to the overall Mozilla account. Same between my phone Firefox and PC.

I don't have too many tabs that I would group together, but I can see how nice of a feature that would be.

I've used Firefox from the beginning and never trusted Google and Chrome. It has gotten better, but at a slower route.

New Mexico governor issues order suspending the right to carry firearms in public across Albuquerque

All this is going to do is waste money on lawsuits that could be used to benefit the people.

When in reality this won't do anything to slow down crime in Albuquerque. The most murders done in Albuquerque is by the police. Targeting legal gun owners won't stop criminals from carrying firearms. Weaponizing the health system to deny constitutional rights really worked out well in the past.

I'm so glad I moved in 2020 from a city/county that is fine with police burning kids alive in their homes because they think a criminal is inside.

Apple Vision Pro review: magic, until it’s not

Plus you're locked into Mac only ecosystem. Even if controllers get made later, you can only play what works on iPads or screen sharing with your Mac.

Hand tracking sounds cool, but how he explained it in the review it's not as useful as the Index's hand controller because you have to always have your hands in sight. And random movements make things happen you don't mean to happen.

This definitely isn't like the iPhone launch.

Really popular ones too.

I like to have a discussion about the movies I watch during the movie. Sometimes the acting is terrible, or the writing is too unbelievable I just have to say something.

I will stay still and quiet if I must, but that just makes it boring.

Balaji lets slip: the "gray tribe" were always just raging neoreactionary techfash

Wow I was waiting and waiting for the buy my alternate world fiction series today link, but it never came.

This is the ranting of someone who has been microdosing the LSD too much and macrodosing the cochise way way way too much.

Gray really is an apt color for the Tech Libertarian Billionaires who seem to think that their winning of the lottery in life means they're smarter or better than everyone else. They have no clue how it was all about the right time and right place.

They're like wannabe fascists looking down at the real fascists thinking that buying the Red's off will somehow make sense. The real fascist will trou ce them all because they already have a major foothold.

Such wishful thinking from supposed elites is just sad.

Fallout games from Fallout 76 to Fallout New Vegas have surged in popularity across all platforms following the release of the Fallout TV show.

My roommate just bought the 3, 4, and New Vegas and asked me for the best play order to play the series in.

I just gave her the starter order of 3 then New Vegas and then to ask me if she wants to really dive into the vault afterwards.

Just 1 episode with me slightly complaining about lore during it and she bought the games. Looked beautiful, but too much 76.

The Tech Robber Baron who wants to take over San Francisco

This is like rebuilding the confederacy as some sort of tech evangelical utopia unholy union. Have the Silicon Valley Tech Bros been mixing Cocaine with an increased dosage of LSD microdosing?

We already are dealing with a rise in fascism from the Republican Party, do they really think that tech jobs in security far away will somehow bribe Democrats and Republicans away from their own corridors of political power?

Legacy's End Space Battle: how to you beet this?

I used turrets on my 3rd weapon slot. Turrets autofire and usually decimate everything coming after me. If you have the high enough perks in starship design, it's pretty simple.

With turrets I could focus on my flying and dodging. Tip for missiles is to boost then stop , then boost if targeted again and stop boosting. Focus on the flying and let the auto turrets shoot for you.
