My family started laughing because I wear a t-shirt often that simply says, "I like birds" and they were really really hoping that you would say that. Haha. Close enough!

I really enjoy both games and I finished BOTW, but something happened during TOTK. I was more than ready for the final fight, but I kept getting distracted by side quests in the game and in real life. It's been over a year maybe 2 years now (because time flies).

For christmas, my youngest asked me to please finish the game for him. So I pick it up and I started playing again. I was proximate to one of the last, maybe the last, fights with Master Kohga, so I gave it to go. It was the stupidest battle because I clearly forgot how to play. I eventually had to unload a stupid number of arrows to just beat him without getting too badly hurt. I'm a resource hog, so I was frustrated to waste so many resources on a fight that should have been so much easier for me.

I have totally forgotten every mechanism and there is no way I'm ready for the final fight. Heck, I've forgotten most of the lore now. 😭

So I played for a couple of hours which made him happy, but he still very very regularly begs me to finish the dang game.

Now I see this. Ugh. 😅 🤦🏽

Since text messages can be answered any time, at any speed, I can't imagine why it would be rude to just ask or how time availability would be an issue. Do you find yourself similarly texting and asking if people can text (immediately)?

Just feels like phishing... with the weirdest phishing message I've ever read as bait.

The jnteresting thing about politeness is how it varies between cultures and persons. Things really can very widely.

I personally can't imagine emailing someone only to ask "may I ask you a question" rather than asking the question itself, but I suppose that might be more polite with some folks?

In the case of this original message, I literally have no idea what half of it meant. English isn't my first language, but I think I've got it pretty down. This was a whole new (generational?) level. 😅

I watched the English dubbed anime with my kids. It's absolutely hilarious and loads of fun. Never in a million years would I have believed such a mashup possible.

I know many of the manga lovers seemed to like the adaption. I'm not personally into anime, but I still loved this show. I'd especially recommend it if you're into d&d... and absurdity... and laughing.

Many forms of satanism, perhaps most?, aren't religious and do not believe in a literal Satan or in Christianity. Satan is used as a symbol of individualism, skepticism, and resistance to religious authority. For many satanists, it's less about worship and more about expressing values like personal autonomy and separation of church and state.

I have a lot of Satanist friends. I'm all for individualism, skepticism, and resistance to religious authorities, but I personally prefer to do it without all the satanic imagery. Just to tease, I occasionally remind them that their beliefs are too Christian for me. Haha. 😈

Narration and direct intervention from an octopus? Well, that just takes it into the realm of delight. They are such curious and wonderful beings.

I only recently learned about how short their life span is. I never imagined it. The longest living species only list 3 to 5 years. They are so intelligent. Evolutionarily speaking, they must be getting stunted so much by that short life span. They are one of the reasons I liked the Children of Time series so much. In the books, humans introduce genetically modified octopuses to a planet, which form the most interesting civilization... but it really was just fun to imagine what they might become after enough time and natural selection.

P.S. This movie not about an octopus. haha. The story line is just a plus.

They sent a private message to ask if they could privately ask something? That's really really strange to me.

And if they're starting the message implying that I'm not in trouble, then that makes it even more confusing because I have no reason to think I would be in trouble.

But if this is a now common way of communicating with people, then I genuinely want to understand that. I simply never read or heard any examples of it from a stranger out of the blue.

The main reason I'm not indulging it is simply because I get multiple spam messages via SMS each week. They all start with an attempt to phish for somebody's attention. Something as simple as saying "hello" or "are you still going to make it tonight?" Then it's revealed that, whoops wrong number, and they start trying to interact with you (because, why not, it's friendly) and eventually phish for information. It's a pretty common scheme.

At first I used to have fun responding, but after doing more reading on the scheme and the unfortunate people who are being used to send those kinds of messages, I realized makes things worse for the person being forced to do that work.

What threw me off about this one is that I couldn't understand it. And for that reason, it made me wonder if it really was spam in the first place. I mean I've seen grammatically incorrect spam all the time, but this one could be intentional. So I figured I'd see if other people fully understood what it meant.

Yeah, I even clicked instagram link because I thought maybe it would play, but it seems you have to be logged on and I've never had credentials. There are sites that give read-only access these services without logging in, but sometimes even some of those want you to subscribe and pay.

That's pretty neat that the sexes would look so similar. I don't see that often.

I had hoped, but I suffered a series of unfortunate events and could not get my camera to connect to the app on my phone. It's really hard to get a good shot with a telephoto lens when you have to touch the camera. I'm surprised this kinglet came out as well as it did. But now that I know what I'm looking at and the app is theoretically reconnected, I should be able to get some better photos in the future.

There were so many birds in the group today. Bluebirds, junco, kinglet, cardinal, titmice, downy woodpecker, carolina wren, yellow rump warbler, and white throated sparrow.

I think that I saw a black and white warbler, but it really shouldn't be here right now. So more likely a downy. Wish I had my binos to get a good look.

Unfortunately, not this camera. It relies on lens-based stabilization (if one has lenses that do that). And the telephoto lense I was using is from a much, much older camera that I bought an adapter for. Someday, when the gods bestow upon me wealth, I'll be able afford the nice things. Until then, I just have to be really really still. 😁

My lack of experience on most socials isn't helping. I've never used Snapchat Twitter Instagram tiktock etc. Pixelfed was my first venture into that realm, but i only use it as a person gallery and to check out interesting photography from others. I know it's modeled on Instagram, which has grown beyond that quite a bit, but that's never been for me though.
