Democrats worry their most loyal voters won’t turn out for Biden in 2024
I'm not going to turn out for Biden. Turns out Aussies are not allowed to vote in the U.S. elections. 🦘

Young climate activist tells Greenpeace to drop ‘old-fashioned’ anti-nuclear stance
Reply in thread
This. It amazes me how many people are anti nuclear but don't understand what it is, how it's waste can be recycled and how it is less harmful to the environment than wind and solar. Yes you read that correctly.

Greens decry property tax breaks costing 78 times what Labor proposes to spend on social housing

I suspect Labor is as left as this country will ever be. The Greens need to win over the centre voters for that change to happen and they are deemed too radical for that on certain items (e.g. superannuation tax)

I only used Reddit thanks to Sync. Credit to the dev as they announced they were moving to Lemmy as part of their last update. I thought, what is Lemmy? Let me try it out.
Now I'm here. If it wasn't for Spez being an idiot killing the APIs, I wouldn't have known Lemmy existed. So for the first and only time, that's Spez for encouraging me find something better.

I’m not being apathetic, just pragmatic. If you want to bring about positive change you need a better solution than something that has failed and will continue to do so.

You’re spot on. Furthermore, under socialism/communism countless millions have starved to death due to governmental incompetence. The op has obviously never studied history.
