I used to work as an intern in a PC repair shop and we had a guy come in saying his new self build computer doesn’t work. Turns out he cut a huge part off the mainboard so it fits into the case.

German army struggles to get Gen Z recruits ‘ready for war’

I’m a millennial who was happy to not be required to go through military training back when it was still a thing but already phasing out. Bundeswehr was a thing for gun fanatics and manly men, nothing that was actually necessary. I was a pacifist. My work ethics today are now close to what Gen Z apparently has. Work is simply not the center of my life anymore.

These days I’m wondering if a 40 year old man (in better shape than my 18 year old self though) can still enlist voluntarily because I want to fight for our European values. I’d rather die in battle than being occupied by power hungry dictators. Not sure this Gen Z guy understands that his work life balance days are over if that happens.

What's the funniest thing your pet did?

I was at a dinner party with my shepherd-mix. While we humans sat at the table, he strolled around, went to the kitchen and found a small, delicious smelling trashcan. It had cooked chicken bones in it, not good for dogs. Unable to open it on his own, luckily, he grabbed the whole trashcan and brought it to me to open for him. Everyone was laughing. He was sad though that I did not help him get what he wanted but I was a little bit proud of him.

He was a great dog and lived to be 16. Rest in peace, buddy.

Eat lead

You can throw as much science at them as you want. God could have just created everything in whatever state he wanted to. Same thing with the virgin mary discussion. Who cares if it makes sense scientifically, god can just make a fertilized egg appear. How lame would god be if he could not do that? This is the basis christians start from, so why even bother trying to debate that?
