I used to be an uber eats driver and lowkey

Reply in thread

This happens all the time. For the customer, they'll get a refund if it's the first time it's happened to them, but if it keeps happening then they'll likely be denied refunds after a while, as support will assume the customer is lying to get free food (unless they submit doorbell cam footage, which they often do). For the driver, nothing will happen to them, but if customers keep reporting their food as stolen then eventually the driver will be removed from the platform, as support will assume the driver is stealing.

Bright green wall with bright flood lighting immediately makes me think streamer/content creator. I'm not even a detective, and I've already significantly narrowed down potential suspects in 30 seconds.

This is wildly bad OPSEC.

Admins should only be looking at who downvotes posts when there is some sort of history of vote-abuse happening. Somebody voicing their opinion with their votes is a perfectly valid use of the upvote/downvote system.

Sheriff calls for backup over wrong Burger King order

"At no point did I indicate my position, nor did I ask the responders to do anything that they would not, had not, or have not done for anyone else who makes a business dispute call."

What the fuck is even a "business dispute call"? The police are not supposed to be involved in "business disputes" at all. If he thinks his deputies are supposed to speed through city streets to placate some Karen at Burger King, then he's beyond educating and should just be removed from his position.

'This is definitely my last TwitchCon': High-profile streamer Emiru was assaulted at the event, even as streamers have been sounding the alarm about stalkers and harassment

Emiru did a short stream going into additional details about the incident, as well as some other fuck-ups by Twitch staff that weren't mentioned in this article.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_USuIpVAqAw

tl;dw: Emiru calls out Twitch for lying about the situation in their official statements, expresses concern for what sort of response a smaller streamer would've gotten if they were attacked like this, and draws attention to Twitch's lack of security and professionalism. Twitch staffers originally laughed about the situation to Emiru's face, and didn't seem to care until the video went viral. They ran background checks on everybody who signed up for her meet-and-greet event, but the attendees were allowed to bring a plus-one with them, who did NOT have to get background checked. Twitch staff also allowed people to walk around even after their badges couldn't scan properly.

Also, because this isn't anywhere near the first time Emiru has been attacked in public, she points out that she's spent tens of thousands of dollars for her own private security, and wasn't even allowed to bring her preferred bodyguard with her because he's permanently banned from Twitch events due to restraining a stalker during a previous event.

Twitch fucked up big time here.

Kyle Rittenhouse texts pledging to ‘murder’ shoplifters disillusion his ex-spokesperson

Remember the video of him getting into a fight with some teenage girl just a few days before he killed those people? The video they wouldn't let the jury see because it might show that Rittenhouse was an escalation-seeking rage-aholic? The video that his spokesperson has definitely seen?

Yeah, he was never disillusioned. He knew who this bastard was all along. He just stopped making money off the kid, is all.
