Trump: Biden is Too Tough on Netanyahu

C'mon enlightened lefties! Come on and tell me how you won't be voting for genocide and we should follow so the Democrats figure out through losing the election that they should court lefties. Nevermind we get 4 years of, "he's doing a good job" as long as Democrats learn to denounce genocide.

C'mon you fucking cowards, get in here and sell me on how Trump winning helps solve your single issue voting on genocide.

So you don’t like Trump or Harris – here’s why it’s still best to vote for one of them

Whew the tankies and astroturfers are out in force in these comments. I think we got the gamut going here:

  1. "I don't vote for genocide"
  2. "A vote for 3rd party isn't a vote for Trump"
  3. "If we don't vote 3rd party nothing will change"
  4. "Jill Stein isn't a Russian asset"
  5. "Who cares if Trump wins; they're both bad / nothing worse will happen l both sides"
  6. "I literally don't understand how Trump can win if I vote 3rd party because I don't understand the difference between voting for and against a candidate"
  7. "Liberals / Democrats / Harris voters are the real fascists"

Solid work astroturfers! Glad to see you're still trotting out these arguments despite plenty of Lemmy users discrediting each and every one. Really shows grit and dedication.

Also, calling it now that at least one of them replies with something about how they're true / haven't been discredited.

Jill Stein Is Killing the Green Party

Wait, the Green Party only had 300k members at it's peak? That's 0.001% of the American population. Why are all the tankies in here talking about how voting for Stein will make a difference? That's not even enough to consider her a contender in most states, much less for the whole country.

Edit: should be 0.1%. My bad and thanks for the correction!

Europe’s Greens ask Jill Stein to pull out of US election to prevent Trump victory

Reply in thread

This is such a backward comment I don't know where to start. Tortured logic, the fact that voting 3rd party doesn't send the specific message you're looking to send, or perhaps that it's all Harris' fault that she lost while ignoring everything about outside election interference including Stein's ties to Russia and conservatives all in one post. Bonus points for projecting that a large death of her base cares solely about Gaza and would be willing to suffer fascism instead.

Can't wait until these astroturfing accounts are retired after the election.

A cool guide to sushi etiquette

When I lived in Japan (around 15 years ago, so etiquette might have changed since then) it was common to take the fish off of the rice and dip it in soy sauce, then put it back on the rice bed in instances where it was just placed atop the rice. Likewise, it was perfectly fine to mix wasabi into your soy sauce.

I've done things that way since without any overt disdain, so I think these are generally good guidelines, but you can probably get away with doing some things your own way.

Bad faith actors are busy these days.

The one valid reason not to vote Dem/Repub this cycle has been to not support genocide, which ultimately supports genocide except the voter can dissociate their vote from the outcome. Other than that, I haven't seen any other valid arguments to vote 3rd party, particularly when looking at what those candidates would do if they won. Holding the presidency with all of Congress against you means you can't get anything done, so it's a waste of 4 years.

The argument of bad faith you've made sounds awfully like the beginning of a slippery slope argument.
