You like Lower Decks?

I was disappointed in the episode called "The Soft Weapon". Its based on a short story by Larry Niven. They had Kzinti in the episode, but replaced the Peirson's Puppeteer with Spock. Cowards. Animate a three legged alien with two heads and an impossibly sexy human female voice.

75% More Pedestrians Have Been Killed Since 2009. Giant Trucks and SUVs Are Why

I have a F150 I use as a farm truck, and an old samurai. (The little 4x4, not the feudal warrior) The samurai is lifted and has larger tires on it, and the hood is still still only about waist-high. Much lower than the F150's hood which is almost chest high. (Im 6ft tall, that's ~183cm)

The F150 is honestly not very useful for hauling, because the sides of the bed are armpit high. Heavy things must be lifted a few feet to get up on the tailgate when its open. Most of the time anymore I use the samurai to pick up things like animal feed or fertilizer or other heavy bags of stuff, because it won't get stuck in the yard like the truck will, and its just more fun to drive, all 65 horsepower of it.

'How to siphon gasoline' Google search surges in Russia amid fuel shortages

Recovering mechanic here. You're correct.

There tend to be corners in the fill tube which makes getting the hose into the tank difficult on its own. And there is usually a device in the line, like a spring, that allows fuel to flow into the tank, but not a hose.

This wasn't always the case. Cars older than about the mid 1980's (depending on brand) won't always have such features.

They aren't shooting at them. It used to be a popular thing for teenagers to whack mailboxes from moving cars using baseball bats or similar implements. It was a bigger problem ~20 years ago.

Of course now you're likely to break your hand/arm/bat if you try it. I've seen several methods used to prevent damage to mailboxes, including cages made from rebar, stacks of mobile home rims with a mailbox in the center, mailboxes made from drill pipe, the mailbox at my house is made from 1/4" thick steel plate and the post it is mounted to is a piece of I-beam. It's bonkers. I think you could hit it with a semi truck and the truck would lose. I didn't build it, it was there when I bought the house.
