The Supreme Court will rule on limits on a commonly used abortion medication
We're about to learn if the FDA has more authority over drugs than our judicial system.
If the US goes the route of judges having more say over drugs than the FDA, we consumers won't be able to trust what is on the market. Personal bias and beliefs will be the reason we will have certain drugs or not vs their actual scientific and medical merit.
We'll be screwed and trust in drugs will fall even lower

Florida school district removes dictionaries from libraries, citing law championed by DeSantis
Is no one else looking at this line the school district is at this point just pulling every possible book that could match the description of the law in purpose to make a point?
One teacher made a complaint about a couple of books so they said fine, well just remove everything else that this bill could possibly touch. Just to prove how ambiguous and far stretching this law can go?
Of course they shouldn't pull a dictionary but it matches the description. This is to test the law.

And then if the executive branch ignores that decision?
There needs to be another plan than let them battle it out on the courts if they ignore court orders.

This is just dumb conspiracy theory shit.
Bullet trajectory showed Trump would be dead if he didn't turn his head last minute. That slight turn allowed the bullet only to glance his ear. That same bullet then hit some in the crowd behind him. He then fliched a bit, and the other shots that were still aimed at the initial first spot all missed and hit the crowd behind him.
There is such a slim chance that was all planned. Trump was directly in line of fire and could have easily been killed if this was just a stunt. They'd never risk that.
Don't spread shit rumors in a time when there is plenty of real shit in front of your eyes to be angry about.

As an anti gun person my whole life, I am considering buying a gun to defend my rights as our 2nd amendment was designed to protect.
I think Democrats need to start forming or partnering with like like minded, armed groups, to help reinforce the importance and need for action. Then we have our support shown how we will defend our rights if actions are not taken.
I am not advocating for violence, but we cannot show up to a gun right with cardboard signs.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?
I'd say since angels are imaginary, √-1 angels would fit on a pin head.

My new favorite is looking for a pulse. Some movie I watched recently panned to the dead guy, clear pulse on neck, but checks pulse says no pulse he's dead then it cuts back to him with his jugular still pulsing. Pretty funny to see

What's the solution to Netflix's second screen stuff from a Marxist perspective?
What does Marxism have to do with not focusing your attention on one thing at a time? This would be an issue only if Netflix was somehow forcing you to only have 1 screen on at once to force you to pay attention to their content. But not a social economic issue.

Being VP and calling for a ceasefire vs a President calling for a ceasefire is very different.
But I agree she is further left than Biden and am more eager to support her then when Biden was running.

Officers Texted Each Other About Trump Shooter but Didn’t Approach Him
Secret Service and local PD absolutely deserve to get reemed out and punished for this gross incompetence and security failure.
This is a huge issue that needs to be remedied quickly, else all our current and future politicians are at risk from internal or foreign enemies of the state. Regardless of your political alignment, all our politicians deserve a secure environment without risk to their own lives.
Anyone that blows this off as, it was just Trump, is massively underestimating the scale of this issue.

Ai llms have learned from us. Good and bad. It doesn't know the difference between good and bad unless you tell it.
So you have to know what's good or bad from the get go before using it and trusting it yet.
And some blindly trust ai already... Which its far from that level of trust

Olympics commentator removed over 'outrageous' comment on Australian swim team
Great! Can they fire the other NBC hosts for their incompetence and rejection of the international part of the Olympics?
They seem to only focus on the US and fully ignore certain aspects of the Olympics if the US isn't the priority.

Ad Blocking Infringes Copyright? Ancient Sony Cheat Lawsuit May Prove Pivotal

I didn't know this was how adblockers and sites worked in general.
If the html file is on the users device and they overwrite it, via an ad blocker, that is in their rights as the property owner of the machine.
Seems like sites need to get creative in new ways to force ads, which I'm sure will be a different kind of intrusive, instead of trying to push their ownership into the space of the users systems.

You're not wrong...
The problem were finding out now is, there is no way for the branches to enforce their decisions unless they all agree.
If executive disagrees with judicial orders and doesn't follow and orders the departments under executive branch control to follow their orders anyway, there is no way for judicial or legislation branches to hold the executive accountable and stop them. Other than legislation impeaching people.
Not sure how many scenarios the US has been in where legislation ignored judicial ruling. And can't think of how judicial could ignore legislation and executive branches exactly...
