Google kills two-year “Pixel Pass” subscription after just 22 months

Lots of misunderstanding in these comments. Google Fi service is not going anywhere, Google is not cancelling any services. The Pixel Pass is basically just a bundle of optional services that can be added to your Fi account for a very slight discount. You do not get a free phone, you get interest free financing on your phone. Because they are cancelling the Pixel Pass Google has given me $100 credit towards my next phone, which is a better deal than the Pixel Pass itself.

Like many people I'm not happy with a lot of things Google has been doing lately, but the Pixel Pass being cancelled is not important.

No correct answer

Pay special attention to the last statement before the question - "He is doing well in school and has a girlfriend who is also a medical student." This sentence is there to tell you that the student in question does not have a disorder; his life is going fine. Answers A, B, D, and E are all disorders, and answer C is "traits", not a disorder. Ergo, the correct answer is C.

Maybe this isn't proper shopping but $18.50 for four veggie burgers, buns, and danish seems like a lot

It's so sad how many posters would rather blame OP for spending an extra dollar on better bread and veggie patties rather than actually acknowledge the blatant price gouging on food. The idea that everyone should only be buying the cheapest ingredients is just stupid. No one is living a fulfilling life eating nothing but cheap beans and rice everyday, and food prices have been ridiculous for a while now.

In a U.S. First, a Commercial Plant Starts Pulling Carbon From the Air

To earn revenue, the company is selling carbon removal credits to companies paying a premium to offset their own emissions. Microsoft has already signed a deal with Heirloom to remove 315,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

And this is why direct air capture is a farce right now - any progress they make is literally counter acted by large corporations who will increase their carbon output because they have a contract with a company like this.

Carbon air capture technology paired with 100% clean energy can save the world from a lot of hardship in the near future, but not like this.

Why aren’t health warnings on cigarettes expanded to alcohol?

Europe drinks way more alcohol than the US

Excerpt from the article:

If you feel that Europeans drink a lot, your hunch is correct: people across the continent consume more alcohol than in any other part of the world. Each year in Europe, every person aged 15 and over consumes, on average, 9.5 litres of pure alcohol, which is equivalent to around 190 litres of beer, 80 litres of wine or 24 litres of spirits. That’s according to the 2021 European health report by the World Health Organization (WHO).

New research showed men who consumed less than 40% of their total energy from carbohydrates experienced significantly higher risks of all-cause and cancer-related mortality

Low carb diets do not neglect vegetables, if you're eating a proper low carb diet then about half of your food volume should be coming from things like broccoli, cauliflower, and spinach. https://www.thekitchn.com/10-vegetables-that-are-lower-in-carbs-than-you-think-253337

Low carb diets still eat about 50-75 grams of carbs a day, and that's a lot of broccoli.

gf wants total silence

These are the small moments that define a relationship. Your gf wants to have a quiet morning browsing her phone and you want to have a conversation. It is up to you if that is ok or not - your relationship should make you happy. You can decide that you are happy to give her a quiet morning, or you can decide that it makes you feel too weird and find a new relationship with someone that you are more compatible with. Every relationship involves compromise but only you can decide what compromise is right for you.
