Well...it can be an long conversation but the TL;DR is there were several space communities and it will help lemmy grow to consolidate. Mander was chosen because they are science focused and LW holds ~40% of all lemmy users. To avoid one community from dominating lemmy we need to spread the usage to multiple instances.

Removal of piracy communities

I'm curious what is believed to be the "legal issues". From my understanding lemmy.world isn't hosting any of this content it is all on other (previously) federated sites.

I'm glad this finally got posted, but really believe that this should have been publicly brought up before action was taken, not as an after thought.

Admins, you are doing a great job and it's very reassuring that you are willing to grow with the community.

Proxmox on NUC8I5BEH

Try adding a HDMI dummy plug. Older Intel NUC's (8th gen and earlier) have an issue that's fixed (but always seems to come back...) where they don't like functioning headlessly (without a display connected.)

Edit: Also, make sure your BIOS is uptodate.

Nvidia to replace Intel in Dow Jones Industrial Average — Intel's 25-year reign has come to an end

Tesla is insanely overvalued...p/e >100 with fake product launches, delay after delay of new models. Technology not meeting their own metrics.

Nvidia p/e is only 65 and they keep breaking records of yoy growth.

Apple p/e is 35. Microsoft p/e is 35.

Cisco p/e at height of dotcom crash (which many people like to compare nvidia to) was >200.

Major CSPs are locked in a race to get AGI. Spending is not going to slow...
