Do you check what community you're about to participate in before participating?
Yes, because I like to know that my post will be a good fit for the community that I'm posting it in.

What did a teacher do that earned your respect?
Took a vote on whether we should be allowed to wear hats in class and actually stuck to the results of the vote rather than overriding with what he wanted.

We all know grammar Nazis. What incorrect grammar are you completely in defence of?
When people use words like "Youse" and "y'all" to get around the fact that English doesn't have a collective second-person form of address.

What would you do/how screwed would you be if you woke up in the last game you played?
TOTK. If I was a random villager I'd probably be OK.
If I was Link I'd die to the first red Bokoblin I encountered.
If I was Ganondorf I'd be twiddling my thumbs waiting as Link got sidetracked by side questing and "hey I bet there's something cool at the top of this cliff".

How do you combat boredom?
Reply in thread
I got to category II obesity and as I lost the weight I realised I had a boredom problem, not an eating problem. I'm so glad that I can now afford to have hobbies to keep my brain occupied. I find also that regular exercise staves off both boredom and depression for me.

Thanks! I was a bit nervous since this is the first time I've shown my art to anyone other than friends and family, so I'm glad you like it.

in what way do you prefer using Lemmy over Reddit?
I like how easy it is to block people, communities, and instances. It makes it so I can curate my feed into something that's interesting and doesn't make me want to constantly ragepost. It's better for my mental health.
