I have to agree. It's disorganized and lazy. Unless they can state a reason to do it this way, it's like dumping everything in your pockets into one drawer. Then it becomes your junk drawer, where everything both exists and doesn't, depending on what you're looking for.

A lot of the actual, serious ones that knew what they were doing got caught. Some went to lulsec to be jerks with no agenda and were caught by the Feds. All that was left were script kiddies that downloaded the Low Orbit Ion Cannon and used scripts they find online. Then they left or were overtaken by alt right idiots.

The original Anonymous are in their 30s and 40s by now. Everyone ages out.

Speed almost doesn't matter for me, since Chrome allows ads and Firefox actually lets me use adblockers and privacy badger. The time wasted on ads are way larger than the time spent loading a page.

Finally, an OS for me! My biggest complaint since the days of Windows 95 has been the lack of being able to add new features. I didn't really care what they are, but I just like the process of subscribing to additional features until I can max them all out.

And secondly, my next biggest gripe has been how hard it is to find AI. It's never at my fingertips. Now that it'll be integrated into the OS itself, I can finally use AI for everything! And if I can buy new hardware annually to allow me to resubscribe to all the latest features, while telling AI my shipping habits, I think it'll be perfect!

I can't wait to give Bill Gates money for this! I know he'll spend it on a good cause. Maybe two young Russian good causes! He's such a cool guy and not at all a billionaire creepo, thank goodness!

It's two fold:

1. it's good proof of "user interaction with site" to sell to advertisers

2. they can use that to load more ads or refresh current ones after it loads more text, and you're already bought in on the story so you're likely going to keep going.

I suspect a third reason is to try adding other news stories at the end in case the current one didn't grab your attention, but that doesn't seem to be as consistent amongst sites that I've seen do this. I run ad blockers though, so I don't really see the sites the way they expect me to.

You might check out the Consumer Rights Wiki, also started by Rossman. It's crowd sourced, and lists anti-consumer BS like forced cloud subscriptions for a lot of companies.

Just find a printer, look up the company there, and see how legit they are. There's even a browser plugin that pops up on any website that has an entry on the wiki.

The scary part isn't the Islamaphobia. That's just because it's easy sound bites based on his name. The real scary part is how much they're trying to attack him, because a democratic socialist mayor in New York can show how shitty Republican solutions have been on solving core problems like wealth inequality. Beyond what Bernie or AOC can do as an individual member of Congress. A mayor is an executive, and new York is big. If he's not trying to line his pockets, he can do real damage to conservatives and establishment Democrats just by showing everyone there's a better way.

Wow, can you imagine trying to fix dry eyes by using eye drops, only to have to get them surgically removed to prevent your death? Going blind over eye drops? 4 deaths even...

You see those videos of workers in India doing barefoot work making pots and small metal parts. Turns out that's everywhere, including your eye drops.

I'm sure the companies responsible won't have any consequences, but I wish they would. That's so incredibly reckless and who knows what else we use every day that's manufactured this carelessly.

Really, the fact that they still have working adblockers makes it faster. Sitting through a minute of ads is way more noticable than a second or two of delay.

And the reason they work still is because they empower the users to use it how they want, instead of how corporate can monetize them.

Oh no, they're putting denuvo on it? Man I loved the first game. I don't think they even had anything close to a problem with piracy because it was a huge hit. Like, it not only did amazing for Warhorse Studios, but it made a huge tourism jump for the region.

That's a bummer, and as much as I want to support KC:D II, I can't support denuvo.
