russian embassy in prague has two entrances with two different addresses. in recent years, they were changed to boris nemtsov plaza and ukrainian heroes street.
yeah, it is pretty easy to speculate.
verifying that speculation is another story, and "funny" image comparing manipulated data to non-existent ones is not the best way to do it.
I openly said you can take issue with the data collection
thank you for your permission. my issue is more with studying small subset of the data carefully chosen to support your theory and then presenting it as if it applied to the whole group.
but the link makes clear
the link makes it anything but clear. it ultimately admits that the sample is manipulated, but doesn't say how and why.
Even if you took that stat and spread it over all of aviation it’d still be more than cops
he said something similar in un speech, but back then, he was not a year into the term, so the "one year ago" part can't be funny on behalf of "he accidentally called himself out".
On the world stage, America is respected again like it has never been respected before. Do you think about two years ago, three years ago, four years ago, or one year ago, we were a laughing stock all over the world.
i see what you are trying to say and it makes theoretical sense, however, this is not a survey on the complete population. this was online poll on a sample of ~4400 people.
there would have to be impossibly huge number of siblings in that random sample so the difference could be explained that way.
say we simplify the sample to 2200 parents and 2200 kids. 220 parents (10% will say they are estranged from their kid).
estrangement is symmetric relation, so you should get the same answer from ~220 kids, but the poll got that answer from 220*1.6 = 352 kids. that would be 132 kids having sibling in that group of 220. in a random sample of 4400, that is just not possible (if the sample is truly random).
some parents are so delusional they don't even realize their kids are not talking to them is much more logical explanation.
yes, ton of jobs involve small plane. but when there is an accident of small plane, it is usually the hobby pilot for the reasons stated.
sure, there are some bush pilots in america, but the data in that usa today article make no sense. they compare some deaths to a sample of 37k pilots. there are about 300k holders of cpl or atpl in usa. i don't trust that article at all, it is tabloid bullshit.
so, lets have some arbitrarily chosen group and then generalize the findings on some other group to make a headline. that's how you do the tabloid, kids.
Just because something is outside of your personal knowledge or experience doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
just because you saw cool picture on the internet does not mean you have personal knowledge. i actually do have some knowledge, which is why i reacted.
in 2025, there were 300056 (three hundred thousand) pilots with either cpl or atpl - these are pilots legally allowed to accept reward for piloting a plane.
so it would seem that the tabloid story in usa today drawing some conclusion out of 37k "workers" - roughly 8 times smaller number, has very loose connection to reality.
small planes go down often. that is because these are hobby pilots who don't have enough training, practice, and oversight. but we are talking about JOBS here and professional pilots are one of the best trained, constantly retrained and scrutinized groups in the world.
Alternative and deeply truly, in my bones: who the fuck are you? Let’s see some of your damn portfolio.
i am someone pointing your attention to the fact that you don't zoom with your feet. i assume you did not know that, because why would you say that otherwise, so now you know something you didn't before and you can think about how to apply that knowledge to your pictures of cool things. i don't really need to present my portfolio for that.
And yes, I downvoted myself to save you the damn click,
you seem to have forgotten to do that. what is the point of making such bizarre performative claim when you don't even follow through?
if simple comment sends you into such tailspin, maybe public discussion is not for you...
