bugreport/issue: scrolling up has no movement and jumps

I recently made a post. The comments had a image. I could scroll down, but scrolling up would cause the app to "jump down" such that I couldn't move much more than 1/5 of the screen back up. To regain functionality, I had to hit "back". I reproduced this behavior a few times on this same post.

I think it has to do with the page's scroll height being modified by the loaded image and that the conflicting height between the image url and image rendered, but ill have to dig into it deeper to figure jt out.

Thanks for all you do.

Edit: apparently access from a link (like the link in this post) does not reproduce the behavior. Access directly from either my "feed" or "jerboa profile > posts" will reproduce the error.

Comment/Post swiping (for up- and downvotes)

Has there been some changes or a new setting that behaves differently than before?

I used to swipe a comment slightly to the left to upvote, and swipe extremely to the left to downvote. Swiping slightly right was allowing me to add a comment, extreme right swiping to bookmark.

For me, only the extreme swipes still work, meaning downvoting and bookmarking. Is this the same for someone else? Is there a solution to this feature? I really loved this!

Edit: The setting "Preset for swipe gesture" still exists and the mode is still set to "Two sides" for me, but it doesn't seem to behave the expected way anymore.

Jerboa 0.0.84 seems to blindly try to force-open this webpage as a PDF document, when it needs to actually open it up as a webpage for the age verification HTML script.

https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA01249734.pdf

This link drove me nuts last night, until I stopped tapping the link in Jerboa and instead copy/pasted the link directly into Fennec web browser.

If this bug has been resolved in a newer version of Jerboa, well just let me know and I'll make a point to update later.

autoplaying videos arw eating all my mobile phone data.

As the title said it. My data consumption from Jerboa went front less than 1GB a month to 2 in December and 5 in January. The only thing I can think that changed here were the videos now being in auto-play.

There's any way to stop it?

Thanks.

Edit: I just found that there's a option to disable auto-play. Didn't saw it before because I was looking up for true for autoplay instead of a false.

I ran across a glitch where I can't scroll up past a certain image within a comment chain, it keeps getting stuck when trying to scroll up, unless I swipe really fast..

This is the comment image in question, an otherwise perfectly valid image comment to the thread...

Post: https://suppo.fi/post/9015907

Comment: https://sh.itjust.works/comment/22124696

Edit: Currently on Jerboa 0.0.84

Edit 2: What funny irony it is that the result of the glitch is a floppy disk constantly trying to insert itself 😂

Edit 3: Now the comment chain has gathered more comments, the glitch is still present, but occurs on a different comment now, meaning it can't be the particular image that caused it. Now the glitch is on this comment.. https://lemmy.world/comment/20483461

what's going on with post titles - inconsistent in showing read / not read?

When I click on the title of a post (I use list view) to see the comments, and then go back to list view, the text style of the title is no longer indicating that I have visited that post. It still shows a change when I upvote or down vote the post. It used to show a change when I followed the actual link (url), but that went away weeks ago. Why all the changes? I'd prefer Jerboa to indicate that I have seen a post if I interact with it in any way. That is, I would expect that clicking the url thumbnail, the title text, or one of the arrow buttons would mark the post as 'seen'.

Scrolling issues

I've noticed a lot of issues scrolling back up in comment sections lately. I'll scroll down to read some comments, then try to scroll back up and the page continuously jumps back down a comment or two making it completely impossible to scroll up any further.

Anyone else seen this issue?

Here's an example post where I just noticed this: (not sure how to make a link Jerboa will open)

https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/53856150

If I scroll all the way to the bottom, I can't scroll up past the comment thread about whether cows can eat flour. It jumps back down before the OC to that thread is visible again.
