Also maybe it's illegal for tattoo artists to do that in some places because I guess it can mess with finger prints ? It's only 2 fingers out of 10 though so that would be weird.

You curl your fingers a little to line up the pads of your fingers.
So this picture was probably just to show off the tattoo artist's work, and not how it was intended to look day to day. That's a relief.

I think they did each letter roughly a centimeter past the joint. The problem is that the joints don't line up
