It is also basic logic that those numbers don't add up. 24/2000 = 43 seconds.
Assuming 12 hours of daylight it is down to about 20 seconds. There is not a lot you can do in 20 seconds. And certainly not pick up 32 penguins every 20 seconds for 12 hours straight.
Is it worse than pig farms? You can smell them miles away depending on the wind direction, and being inside the building with stalls of piglets still haunts me lol.
A plane starts the day at the airport, does an even number of flights back and forth, and then one last flight and ends it at another airport. Repeat the next day but in reverse.
The way I described it, there would be an odd number of flights every day, so the average will also be odd.

Last time I was at a zoo was Milwaukee. The penguin house was the most foul smelling thing I’d ever inhaled, outside of human gangrene.

So by saying that the airport hosts 313 flights it most probably accounts both directions. Unless they mean it hosts 313 outgoing flights
