What's everyone playing right now?
I just platinumed Jedi Survivor (which was awesome, you should play it) and I'm looking for my next new awesomeness to play.

Almost done with Control right now. It's a really good game. A little too creepy though!
Control is one of my favorite games. Everything about it was excellent. I'm so glad they're making a sequel.
Control is one of my all time favs, only one of three games I've ever 100%'d on steam.
Most of my time plalying control went to reading the lore. Well looking forward to a new Alan wake
I think control is the only game where I went out of my way to read each and every little note and message and all that crap. Whoever worked on that stuff did an amazing job. I had so much fun reading and listening to all that stuff and learning about the world
I've been playing Battlebit Remastered on Steam and holy shit while it looks awful it's one of the funnest FPS I have played in a while. Super fun, super smooth, and scratches the COD itch from when I was a kid. I HIGHLY reccomend it!
Also Tears of the Kingdom.
That's the low poly shooter right? That actually looks pretty fun. I'll have to try it.
Yeah I was hesitant at first because of the low poly but the gameplay is top tier.
It's got all the promise of the battlefield games just not the graphics/sound. Environment destruction, tons of weapons/attachments, lots of maps with day/night for all of em, different battlefield modes, 256 (and smaller) maps, map voting, people get kicked for cheating/racism, tight gameplay, and so on.
Exact same for me. Been enjoying Zelda a ton and slowly making my way through it.
Did some of the play tests for battlebit and so happy about how it's been embraced as it's what I've wanted from modern battlefields.
+1 on Battlebit. Battlefield 1942, and similarly Vietnam, were my favorite. I always felt like Dice/EA just kept gradually turning everything up to 11 after that. Battlebit feels like a well balanced, intentional concept, that balances speed, strategy, and the opportunities for ridiculous moments just right!
battlebit is hella fun, it’s best when you’re in a packed area and everyone is screaming and blasting music lmao
Mix of Diablo 4 and Halo Infinite multi-player depending on which friend group is online. Technically started AC:Valhalla as my single player game, but I get so little alone gaming time these days that I'm still only 45 minutes in after 3 weeks.
I have been finishing up Tunic. The game is fantastic and I love seeing all of the small little things that have been accessible the whole time that I have since gained the knowledge to interact with.
After I finish that, I want to work on Dread Delusion.
Final Fantasy XVI, and it's consuming my thoughts to a degree that surprises me, considering I haven't really liked one of those games since FFX. I've already put 15 hours on it since Friday (quite a bit for me, I don't get very much time to game these days). It really is incredible; I haven't had this much fun with a game since probably Read Dead II. I'm also playing Battlebit Remastered on the rare occasion that my friends and I are able to game at the same time.
I travel for work so on my laptop I installed Fallout 4 with a modpack obtained through Wabbajack installer (Welcome to Paradise) and I'm playing through as a melee-only knight. I'm using console commands to stock up on stimpacks and radaway so that I don't have to stop and loot since I've played this game several times; I can just run around like a madman with a sword, slicing legions of enemies apart. Playing it as an action game has been a ton of fun.
Also nice username/pic @Teft, I'm a big Stormlight Archives fan.
For the moment, this is my favorite solo gaming experience in a while. I absolutely love it.
It's a perfect match: good DMC gameplay with a story that is for the moment very intriguing and well written. I can't wait to get home and play.
Right now, Battlebit Remastered (which I just bought). Despite being not that good at the gunplay yet, I'm doing well and having fun just playing a medic and dragging people out of the line of fire for revives and heals. Highlight of today was frantically healing everyone in a full chopper while we dueled an enemy chopper over a capture point, with the pilot micspamming Pirates of the Caribbean music the whole time. Really brings me back to the good ol days of multiplayer lobbies (without a lot of the casual bigotry - game seems pretty good at actually banning it so far).
Man I really want to try this now. Sounds awesome.
Battlebit is such a great time, such a good return to what made the battlefield games popular with a hint of Roblox nostalgia
Lemmy. It's a pretty nice minigame to play whilst between breaks.
...
what?
The internet version of buying that 4090 to play Minecraft
Nah this is a legit answer.
Warframe: Really loving the Duviri update. I'm an old player but there's suddenly a reason to build out a lot of weapons that I've mostly ignored beyond Mastery farming. Fortunately, I kept everything so the only issue is having enough forma.
Minecraft: Randomly wanted to play it again (heavily modded, All the Mods 8, I have to scratch that automation itch). Haven't played in ages, so pillagers were a vanilla surprise and so was the fact you can now dig past y=0 (along with the new interesting caves and berries). In the end, though, I'm still a dirty melon farmer that subsists solely off my melons.
Kenshi: I also started Kenshi a bit ago. It's an interesting game, but it's certainly a slow burn which I don't necessarily like. I'm up to 10 characters now, but only two of them can handle combat with any degree of competency and everyone else keeps falling over from the slightest breeze. I'm currently just living out of Squin until enough passing by herbivores get stomped that my team can handle real combat. Fortunately, mining is extremely lucrative so I don't have to worry about food.
I've been thrilled with duviri for the same reason! I've gained some respect for weapons that I had previously disregarded and sold after leveling. It really feels like it's putting new life into the game. At least to someone who's gotten through most of it.
For Forma, it can be easier to farm platinum through various means and then buy the 3 for 35 plat bundles. That’s my typical weekly grind when I want to accelerate the forma gathering. There’s also a way I remember seeing where you can farm fully built ones but it’s not the most efficient
Jump Ultimate Stars online and Chrono Trigger on DS
Batman Arkham Knight on PS4
Subnautica has been amazing! It is one of the best open world games ever made and I highly recommend it!
Oh lord, are you playing subnautica because of the Oceangate news lmao
Lol maybe
Diablo 4. It's good, not great but I think it's a good foundation to build upon. I'm interested to see what Blizzard does for season 1. I don't expect anything dramatic like Diablo 3's latest season, but I'm still looking forward to it.
Likewise. Enjoying Diablo 4 while waiting to see whether Final Fantasy XVI 60fps mode performance will improve at some point.
Got D4 on PS5 and PC, jumping between both of them and a Steam Deck. Really good, mindless game. Still making my way trough the story, since I enjoy narrative content more than the grind.
Legend of Zelda BoTW. Trying to finish the game before I start playing ToTK.
You're definitely going to burn yourself out on that formula
Nope, still going strong. Already bought ToTK on launch so I'd have something to look forward to. Got 2 devine beasts down (almost 3).
Still playing Tears of the Kingdom. I’m about 70 hours in.
Heh same. I'm about 2x the time as you but uh... Only have 2 of the main dungeons completed 😂
I have a LOT of battery now though, so at least there's that!
About the same time as you, but main story complete! Wanted to get ahead of the spoilers, but I've hardly touched the side regions.
Second TotK. It’s definitely in my top 10–BotW was in my top 3.
Wrapping up Hollowknight, finished up elden ring before that. Looking to try out FFXVI.
Was wanting to check out the jedi games too.
The Jedi games are absolutely amazing in terms of storyline.
Started Hollow Knight a few days ago. It's absolutely gorgeous!
Been kinda burned out on videogames, I've been playing tears of the kingdom but I got the master sword about two weeks ago and haven't gone back to the game since.
Still play Dungeons and Dragons twice a week
I've been playing almost exclusively Street Fighter 6 since it came out. I'm still terrible as it's my first SF game, but I am having a ton of fun
Final Fantasy XVI while keeping up with my dailies on Final Fantasy XIV and Star Trek Online and Savage raiding in Final Fantasy XIV
My router died a couple of days ago (using mobile data to post this) do I have to play offline games... Good thing I installed a bunch of games on GoG just in case. Tried out Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis this morning, currently clearing the tutorial dungeon in Daggerfall Unity.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was one of my favorite games as a kid. Could never understand why every time I played it the sound settings seemed to shift, but hey, I was 8
I'm deep into the second act of Ghost of Tsushima and I'm completely baffled how I missed this game when it came out. It's absolutely beautiful in every way possible
Ghost of Tsushima is one of my favorite games ever. I envy you playing it for the first time.
It's so good. I like the cut of your jib, so I might give Jedi Survivor a closer look.
Steam Deck:
PC:
Battlebit
Same here. The most fun ive have with an online game in a long time.
As far as singleplayer games go, I‘m playing Slay the Spire! I‘ve never played it much before (just modded meme classes) and it finally clicked with me!
Fantastic game!
Slay the Spire is an amazing game. The mobile version works pretty smoothly.
I've been playing a ton of Diablo 4, trying to get through the story so I can hop into World Tier III and start getting endgame gear. Starting to get pulled into wanting a structured single play let game again though, so might get back into TotK to do some side quests, try to finish FF7 Remake, or play through Pikmin 3 again.
Beat the Miles Morales game recently. Got 100% completion too. Not often I ever complete a game either. Still got a ways to go with Tears of the Kingdom, and then probably a return to Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. I've gotta beat that game and I can finally play KH2 with a clear conscience.
Spiderman and Miles Morales are one of the very few games I got 100% completion on too. I was just having too much fun
As much fun as Miles Morales was, the story wasn't very good. The Tinkerer was lame and a hypocrite. Miles just apologized to them for the entire half of the game and got annoying real quick. I really hope Spider-Man 2's story was made by the guys who did the first game and not this one.
Replaying RDR2. I never beat it the first time, got burnt out around 80-90% of the story and gave up. Planning on finishing it up this time around.
One of the few games where I've gone back for another playthrough AND one of the few games I've finished. Fantastic all around.
Just started back into Elden Ring. It's crazy how much of the map is still left 140 hours in.
Signalis - grabbed it on sale and playing through on steam deck.
Stellaris - I've spent too much time building empires only to lose interest in mid/late game.
Re: Stellaris - me too, and I bet a lot of other people as well. It has what my friend group calls "the Civilization problem"; the initial setup and expansion is by far more interesting than the late game when things are more static. Stellaris does it better than the Civ games, in my opinion (mid and late game crises and events help), but still falls into the same trap. I'm not really sure how this could be solved, but maybe something like late-game expansion opportunities (like the L cluster, but more) and more robust internal politics and espionage could help.
Agreed. I've seen there is a mod to add more mid/late game encounters or content, but I haven't tried it yet. I think more developed diplomatic events would make mid/late game more interesting. Most of my playthroughs end up being an arms race towards the end, which sure that can be a fun aspect of the game, but not super interesting. Very much like civ, and I think you're correct they both suffer from the late game "domination" aspect.
My idea of a successful Stellaris game it not coming in first, but making it to the end with a functional empire.
I'm also probably a noob when it comes to Stellaris, but I still enjoy it.
Glad to know it's not just me. Civ and Stellaris both, game progression for me goes like: fun, fun, fun, yeah screw that guy!, fun ... getting less fun, definitely not as fun anymore, meh.
I just picked up Cult of the Lamb which is at least silly fun. Bonus points for blasphemy!
Cyberpunk !
Same! I'm slowly working my way through a melee build. Definitely won't finish before the patches change the gameplay significantly. Not sure how that'll feel mid playthrough
Im doing a melee build too! Still early off but love the katana can’t wait for mantis blades
Replaying Control, I can play this one repeatedly.
A weird mix of a murder mystery visual novel based in Joseon Korea (called Suhoshin) and FF 16, with short dips into Goat Simulator 3. Taking a short break from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, but I'll get back to it after these.
just beat red dead redemption 2. seriously epic story and amazingly gorgeous environments. going to dabble in red dead online just to get a few more achievements. thinking elden ring next!
7 Days to Die. Basic zombie survival game. Friends and I set up a server and have been playing on and off for the past 2 years. The latest alpha version (A21) came out recently, so started playing again.
Spider-Man. Jesus, this game is amazing. I'm trying to 100% the whole game, so far I'm at 82% on the main story, 100% on The Heist (wanted that costume), and 0% on the rest of the DLC.
Spider-Man is great. After you're done try Miles Morales. I like his active camouflage.
Already on my list! I'm also so, so pumped for the sequel. Can't wait to see how it feels using the symbiote.
Spider-Man is one of my favorite games. When you're done, try Miles Morales. Is smaller but a whole lot of fun and it's amazing the little details to differentiate how Miles moves vs Peter.
I'm an old lady so I'm playing farm tycoon on switch and Kairosoft's dream town island on my phone.
Still playing Tears of the Kingdom.
I will launch up Tactic Ogre Reborn when I'm traveling. Working on endgame right now in that one.
Deep rock galactic!
Rock and stone to the bone!
I still haven’t sat down and played the new season. How is the new boss fight?
What's weird is I haven't even encountered it yet. Idk if it's like a really low rng or what?
Black Mesa.
I started with Half Life 2 and played a lot of Counter Strike back in the days. This brings back memories even if I never played it and it's way better than I thought, too!
I'm obsessed with Satisfactory at the moment. Just every minute of every day building these beautiful factories
I sunk in over 100 hours into update 6, but got a little disheartened when I ruined one of my factories. I am keeping an eye on the updates and as soon as 1.0 drops, I am going back in.
Update 8 is on Experimental now, and they've added Lumen for Unreal Engine 5, it makes everything look so much more beautiful
I'll wait for the game to be out of early access regardless. Aren't they adding a story?
Yeah, a few YouTubers have scanned through the files and the various bits of text and audio from the game to try and guess what the story line will be, and if any of their predictions are correct, then it'll be super interesting
Just got Battlebit. Really reminds me of the good ol BF2 and BF bad company. Just a fun time.
I've been enjoying too... But I also feel like it lacks a little depth
DayZ and Dwarf Fortress. The DF official soundtrack is so ooooo good
Mostly PC based stuff. Currently just started Unpacking, chill little cozy game. Been playing Voidigo for my fun twitch shooter fill. American/Euro Truck Simulator in VR for my sit back and drive fill. Skyrim VR for immersion.
Currently playing Death Stranding and feeling fit from the amount of virtual walking and carrying I've done. Next in queue is Everspace 2.
Keep on keeping on! 👍
Still trying to get into Tears of the Kingdom after 50 hours. I absolutely loved BOTW but I really have trouble feeling involved with TOTK, it feels like I've already played the game. They slightly changed everything just a bit, just enough to change the gameplay feeling but not enough for me to feel the same appeal to explore the world.
I'm still working through Tears of the Kingdom.
I've also been playing the boardgame, Wingspan.
I'm still embedded in TotK too. I have so many little nitpicks that really detract from the experience but it's still so addictive for me regardless.
I'm glad I haven't played it on the Switch. My biggest complaint is all the waiting and repeated cutscenes / animations, and there's a godsend of a mod available for that!
playing nfs unbound currently
I'm not usually a fan of triple a games, but I bought Doom Eternal yesterday and its been really good so far.
Zelda link between worlds.
Top tier zelda game, I would argue it's the best of the Top down games.
Age of Wonders 4. I'm a pretty big fan of 4X games and it's one of the best-streamlined examples of the genre I've found. It has a lot in common with Endless Legend, but feels much simpler for new players to approach. Only downside is that the devs have committed to doing quarterly DLC, with each one costing $10, and the first one is already out despite the game being extremely new.
The Messenger. I saw a post here a bit ago about Sabotage's upcoming "Sea of Stars" which looked interesting, and I saw they'd also done a Ninja Gaiden-inspired game several years back, so I picked it up.
I'm a couple hours in, and I've been really enjoying it. It has a very NES-like feel, while still being a smooth experience, i.e. not held back by the limitations of the NES, just inspired by it. Apparently it kicks into an SNES-style experience later on, so that'll be fun to see.
I'm not sure how enjoyable it'd be to somebody who didn't grow up on the NES, but I've had fun with it so far.
Recently became a father and regained my love for my Switch, since it allows me to play in short bursts and pause whenever and wherever I need to. I'm currently playing through Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and loving it.
Rimworld, F1 2023, the new Zelda.
I'm just sad that F1 23 is not bug free... Did a ranked game the other day and at the start on lap 1, one guy was in lap two already. Happened twice now, also to a friend of mine. Classic EA experience.
I have skyrim running on a janky PC. Haven't played it in a little bit, but I'm always about to lol. Soon enough.
Having a blast with FF XVI. It's definitely one of the most polished of recent games, everything just looks and plays fantastic. Even if the game is super shallow as soon as you do anything other than the main story. The fantastic voice of Ralph Ineson is the cherry on top.
Agree with you on the polish of FF16, but not so much on the side quests. I find that some of them - not all - add a little extra to the main quest line. But I'm also finding everything in the game to be pretty enjoyable.
Grounded and Cities Skylines
Daggerfall Unity and Morrowind on OpenMW. Those games got me more hooked than Skyrim
Still leveling in Diablo IV. I really like that it feels like Diablo 2, but has all the qol features from Diablo 3.
Also the storyline is fantastic.
FFV pixel remaster on PS5, TotK on switch, and Lufia 1 on my retroid pocket.
I've mostly been playing Wreckfest on my Steam Deck. Fun to pick up and play a few rounds.
Torturing myself with Assassin's Creed series, I just beat Valhalla though, pretty good but could have been better if it was about half as long. That, and Tomb Raider series, made it to Underworld.
Back and forth between Diablo 4 and Crusader Kings 3.
Just started Final Fantasy 16 today! Not very far in yet but I am enjoying it. Seems a little easy so far though but at least the combat looks cool lol
I've been stuck on All The Mods 8 (Minecraft "kitchen sink" modpack) for the last week or two. Kinda just caveman-ing my way through all the quests. Playing with Minecolonies and setting up an RFTools Builder in the mining dimension so I don't have to manually mine most resources any more. I keep meaning to get back into ComputerCraft, maybe that's my objective for this evening.
How stable is ATM8? It's been a while since I tried running one of the ATM packs, but I remember having some serious lag issues.
I've been having a Minecraft itch lately. I haven't played in a couple years, but I used to have fun playing with some of the Feed the Beast packs. I think the last thing I played was their Skyblock pack
Okay, I can reply to myself but no one else in this thread. Awesome user experience Lemmy.
Kingdom Eighties, it came out today and it's a little bit of a spinoff from the traditional kingdom games, quite fun tho!
Huge fan of the Kingdom series. Still deciding whether to get this (for the Switch). How would you rank it against previous installments? Is it a ‘haha they put Stranger Things in my Two Crowns’ kind of novelty (which no doubt wears off soon), or does it feel like something that’s as explorable through replay as previously?
Working my way through Nova Lands, Diablo 4, FF16, and Big Pharma :)
Atomic Heart. This game is amazing. It's been such a long time since we had a high budget single player fps with level design that not linear corridors and that are highly innovative in terms of architecture and style. Plus the fact that it's one of the best looking games out there, and there's lot of diversity (enemy styles, upgrades, puzzle rooms, weird story, etc). I nearly skipped it completely because of the Russian aspect, glad I came back to it. Fyck Putin for nearly making me miss on this awesome product. The only negative I have to say about it is the damn respawning resurrecting robots.
Manhunt on PC. Incredibly underrated game, it's not just a shock game it has really fun gameplay.
Brotato and Dinkum
I’ve been playing Zelda ToTK - I’m at about 100 hours and am on the final main quest. I’ve put it down for a little bit before I finish the main story. There’s still so much to do but I was ready for a break. Strangely enough the exact same thing happened with BotW. I got to the very end and then stopped for awhile.
Doesn’t help that Diablo IV came out. I’ve been playing that pretty heavily too. I got it on Xbox and then was so intrigued to try it on my Steam Deck that I bought it a second time and got it set up on the deck. It plays wonderfully. I’m a sucker for handheld gaming.
You should try the Yakuza games. I'm currently on Yakuza 0 with 150 hours in it. I'm gonna have to play through again to get all the achievements, but it has been one of most fun games I've ever played.
My main game for way too long has been Escape From Tarkov (just can't seem to fully get away from it), but I've been taking a break from it for a few months.
In the meantime, I've been playing a lot of Slay the Spire, Monster Train, and emulating various games on PCSX2. It's been fun to play "lighter" stuff with less commitment! I'll occasionally pick up various other shooters for the sake of playing with my friends, there just isn't a lot in that realm that's really scratching the itch for me lately.
Currently playing Octopath 2. It’s has some interesting plot points and I like the turn based combat system and has a great nostalgia style for old pixel games.
Legend of Heroes Trail in the Sky SC
its been a nice little game so far. its a pretty simple jrpg with a focus on story and characters. its fantasy of sorts but isnt quite so goofy or convoluted as square enix games like to be. I've been good so far
My favorite game series ever. Hope you'll have great time with it.
Also you can get the EVO sprite patch (more modern character drawings) and voice-over patch, if you haven't already.
I have the vo patch. Didn't know there was any spite upgrades. I'll probably just keep it as is though, I have no complaints on how it looks
Star Citizen. It is a perpetually alpha state, beautiful, buggy mess. The potential for this being awesome is just through to roof. Getting there is going to be tough. I enjoy it a lot despite some of the latest very rough patches.
God of war on the SteamDeck ^^ I remember when it was a PS4 exclusive and I really wanted to play it. It feels incredible to be able to play, while holding the whole machine in my hands.
Playing Zelda: Tears of the kingdom.
It’s pretty cool. The world is massive and exploration, especially of the underground is a lot of fun.
The game does contain a lot of busywork and the control scheme is pretty different from other games I play. That hampers my ability to continue with other games I was playing so I’m in a rush to end it.
Planning on FFXVI and a new Minecraft play though with my daughter after TotK.
Been doing a lot of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous as my main game lately. Decided I wanted to do a third run with multiromance since the new companion is in, and it's worth it - Ulbrig is fantastic. Now I can have my posse of Daeran, Arueshalae, and Ulbrig!
Aside from that? Powerwashing Sim has been blissful for taking my mind off work stress. Should really get back into Dorfromantik for the same reason.
Going through the extra semester/Palace in Persona 5 Royal on the Switch, playing Fire Emblem Echoes on the 3DS, and playing a level of Freedom Planet 2 on the PC here and there when I feel like it. Tears of the Kingdom should be getting to me some time this week, so I'll have that ready to go by the time I finally finish P5R!
Just now finished a complete run in Titan Quest - main campaign and all 4 DLCs in all 3 difficulties!
Overall time - 9 days, 21 hours and 25 mins. Char level 78 out of 85. Too many deaths - too embarrassing to tell XD
Finished Forbidden West a cpl weeks ago and now working on Dead Space and Watch Dogs: Legion. Might grab something on sale next that I've wanted to play or pickup Cyberpunk.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance, I started playing AC:Syndicate too. I just want to try to play the games I've been meaning to get to before Starfield and CP2077:Phantom Liberty release because then I will have no time at all for any other games.
Been playing The Last Story for the Wii. Really enjoying the story so far and the battle mechanics are pretty interesting.
I also finished Jedi Survivor story, but not 100% completion. Been eyeing the FF7 remake.
Also been eyeing the FF7 remake but decided to play the original first, as I never got to finish it in the '90s. Been really enjoying it.
Oh, you are in for a treat.
Last night I finished getting all of the author medals for all of the campaign tracks for Trackmania Nations Forever. I really enjoyed E01 and E04 after I got the hang of them, I needed a podcast for E05, and E02 and E03 can eat my ass.
In a game swap with a friend, I've been exploring Outer Wilds, and it's great!
Street Fighter 6. I never got into SF 5, but this iteration kind of makes me want to play all the time.
Currently playing through the FFVII remake, really enjoying it. Never played the original ff7 but engaged with some ff7 adjacent content like Advent Children.
When I don't have much time I'm playing through Cult of the Lamb on my Steam Deck and it's really quite charming!
Diablo 4! Helltides are loads of fun.
Old school runescape
Doing another playthrough of breath of the wild. I'm more or less over the story, so I'm just screwing around with the different glitches that were left unpatched. Right now I'm playing with the cryonis one for the trial of the sword. If I can complete it and kill the hinox, I'll think about getting tears of the kingdom. The control sticks like to get slippery halfway through his hp though...
Currently playing pokemon reborn. It is lots of fun so far, but also much harder than a normal pokemon game.
Currently playing League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Game is much better in terms of controls, and the map is smaller, less cluttered, with a semi-normal community (compared to LoL).
Highly recommend for those into MOBAs.
I'm playing Pikmin 1 HD on Switch, hopefully will finish it before the release of Pikmin 4.
A super modded Skyrim SE. It's my happy place.
PS4: Assetto Corsa Conpetizione and Drive Club. My two favourites.
I'm replaying some Trails games while I wait for Trails into Reverie to release.
I platinumed Zero already. Currently about to plat Azure. I'll probably be working on Cold Steel 4 when my copy of Reverie arrives.
Squad!
The community feel and the importance the game places on communication is refreshing in an era of isolated gaming.
Got back into Hardspace Shipbreaker for some mindless relaxation. Also Chivalry 2 and Diablo IV.
Skyrim cause of the Starfield hype. Also raiding in WoW classic and playing some Enlisted to get my shooter fix
PC:
Diablo IV: Love the combat. End game needs a lot of work. But it's still satisfying to play.
Voidigo: FFO Enter the Gungeon, Binding of Isaac, Nuclear Throne, etc. - highly recommended Really need to get back to Age of Wonders 4...
PS5:
Street Fighter 6 - I'm fucking terrible at fighting games. SF6 is no exception. But I picked it up because I want to try to learn. It's fun! I continue to be awful, but I hope to eventually dump enough time in to it to become competent.
FFXVI- I like it, but it's got a lot of problems. The forest/outdoor areas in general look fantastic, as do the characters. Interior environments often look terrible. The combat is okay, but it's not as deep as people would have you believe. It's styled like DMC, but it has none of the challenge and, honestly, without that it feels kinda lackluster. Still, I'm enjoying my time with it... it's just not the 9 or 10/10 game that I was hoping it would be.
Just started FF XVI, loving it so far.
Been working through the new update in V Rising with a buddy of mine. Bloody good time
Tears of the Kingdom and fallout 76
Just started diablo 3 on switch, got it a month or two ago on sale, started playing a day ago. Damn it's fun!
I played d1 100 years ago, and havent messed with it since. Don't know how long I'll be playing, but having a blast for now.
I haven't played Diablo in a minute, wonder if it'd run on my broke ass set up 🤔
Been messing around with Tears of the Kingdom and doing a nostalgia tour through Team Fortress 2.
Taking kind of a hiatus from Satisfactory, kinda curious if my GPU is up to running Update 8 tbh.
Replaying Borderlands, never finished the second or anything after.. hoping I can stick with it and play through the series.
I'm really into Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic right now. It's an amazing tycoon game that doesn't get the attention it deserves as the most realistic and granular city builder available. There's something so satisfying about managing every resource, vehicle, and worker to build an economy and society from the ground up.
From the WIki: Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic is the ultimate real-time Soviet-themed city builder tycoon game. Developed by 3Divison it is available on Steam in Early-Access since 15th March 2019. Construct your own republic with a centrally planned economy and transform a poor country into a rich industrial superpower!
On Lemmy:
Been going on rotation between Factorio, Path of Exile, and Need for Speed Underground 2 for a few months now. Hard recommend all 3
Underground 2 might be one of my favorite games of all time. I played it so much growing up that the green 350z is probably forever ingrained into my brain
Tomb Raider (2013). I'm really enjoying it.
I've been bouncing between a no-death run of Pikmin 2 (was gonna do it in Pikmin 4, but then Nintendo went and finally re-released them on Switch) and Omega Strikers (yay vyce).
My recommendation? Don't do a no-death run of P2; it's so tedious at times lmao.
Final Fantasy XVI God of War 3 Remastered Remnant From the Ashes (with a friend) Ace Attorney Chronicles Destiny 2
Kinda just slowly working my way through all that. I tend to bounce around games a lot.
Totk and I started to listen to earthbound music while at work, so I loaded up Mother 1 on 3ds... The save game put me at magicant, and I went back to the starting town and got killed by a death truck... Ninten can't breathe!
Been replaying Risk of Rain 2 recently. Modded Terraria on the side.
This is one of the few games I will continue to play forever, simply because it is so fun. I love it.
I'm almost done playing through the Convergence mod for Elden Ring, and it's so good! If you liked the base game I highly recommend giving it a try.
I'm also playing a bit of Diablo 4, which has its problems but is pretty fun with a couple of friends.
Space Engineers. I'm kinda loving it tbh
Battlefield 1. Trying to get back into multiplayer games and I loved this when it first came out. But I reckon I'll jump to Battlebit and give that a go. I miss the PlanetSide 2 days when the Aussies had a server that people actually played in and Battlebit seem like just as much chaos.
Warframe to get this weeks incarnon upgrades and Battlebit with friends when they get on. Good god it’s so fun
For some reason Dragonflight has me in its talons again.
Diablo 4 and Street Fighter 6
Watch dogs 2. I've been leaving it alone for a week here and there and then coming back to it. I feel like the watch dogs series gets way more hate than it deserves, none of what I've played of 1 and 2 have lined up with what I had heard about it online.
I restarted my biannual Kingdom Come Deliverance run, and I'm much farther into it then I've ever gotten before. Probably because it's running so well on the Steam Deck these days.
Other then that Vampire Survivors for quick games and a two week long tournament in Intergalactic Fishing, a criminally underrated chill indie game.
Currently doing yet another play through in Skyrim VR (Heavily modded of course) If you have a vr headset and have never tried it, I can highly recommend. Keep in mind there are a few essential mods to make the VR version worth playing.
I'm replaying Dragon Age: Origins. Forgot how much I loved this game. It holds up well, but is showing it's age. Still having a blast!
Elder Scrolls Online, now and forever.
Lot of content; recently got into PvE stuff after doing Cyro PvP forever. Double AP just announced today too, so it'll be a fun two weeks coming up.
Been playing the system shock remake and im going back and playing metal gear solid 1 on my steam deck
Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Super hard. Super fun. If you weren’t sure about trying it, highly recommend.
Also really looking forward to Jagged Alliance 3. Fingers crossed for an actually good sequel.
Just finished Warhammer 40k: Space Marine. Decided to jump back in time to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (PC, the old 6th gen one).
Also playing Streets of Rage 4 and Dead Cells on my tablet, and in the middle of a run of Mega Man Battle Network on my Powkiddy X55.
Resident Evil 4 Remake
I'm replaying Heaven's Vault. I'm liking it a lot better this time through; the last time I played (a couple years ago) I really felt like I wasn't getting the big picture. This time I discovered a few big secrets I never found before, and now I'm into new game plus.
Been playing NFS Unbound the last couple of days. Got the Delorean and now I'm racing to kit it out. Game is a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be.
Diablo 4 but losing interested a bit lately. Not sure what I will be playing next.
I finally managed to use KeeperFX on my computer, so I'm playing Dungeon Keeper through it. And I'm also playing OpenRCT2.
In order of most played for the last few days -Fortnite -Brotato -Wild Hearts -Battlebit -Elden Ring Co-op Randomizer
I got Diablo 3 with all dlc for cheap so I’ve been playing that
Guilty Gear Strive and Street Fighter 6!
Winding down on Zelda: TotK. Just started Path of Exile which has been in my Steam library for ages. I want to play Diablo IV, but I don't want to pay $70.
Super Mecha Champions and Battlefield 4
Racingmaybe - A really cool drag racing game made as a hobby project by a solo dev. Easily my favorite driving game and it only cost $3.
Zelda and Brotato. Brotato is like the actualization of what all the Vampire Survivors clones could be. Unlike the rest of the genre, you're not getting massive permanent scaling boosts, just unlocks for items that can appear in the runs roguelike style.
Starpoint Gemini warlords myself and vanilla WoW on a Pserver
turtle wow or go home
Turtle is great. Like how they enhance the Paladin class.
Having said that, I'm currently enjoying WoW Ascension's latest server. So many new classes to play, and enchantments and build points assignment while leveling is done for you automagically, so you don't have to hassle with that.
I love specking, one of my favorite things in games
Yeah I do too as well, as long as it's not overwhelming.
A new person coming to the Ascension server gets way overwhelmed with everything that they have to do at first.
So personally I like the new season, with how you just choose a build and it does all the configuration of talents for you and gear enchantments while you're leveling.
I've been playing Pokémon Infinite Fusion. Super fun game, been looking at Battlebit Remastered as well to play with the friends.
Gallivanting between Minecraft and Space Station 13, though I'm planning to add Aurora4X to the mix again.
TF2
Robots or push little cart?
KOTH, mostly
First witcher right now. Tried it like 10 years ago and couldn't get past the clunky controls. In the meantime I've read most of the books and played the other games, so I had to give it a go and this time around I'm really enjoying it!
There is a lot of mods that improve the clunkiness
Honestly, I'm about 40h in and I've gotten used to it by now. Had one potentially game breaking bug but thankfully someone posted a way to circumvent it, so I'm just hoping it won't happen again (game kept crashing during the Salamandra base group fight).
Recently discovered Urbek City Builder. It’s similar to Islanders and Dorfromantik except there’s an auto-upgrade mechanic where building tiles respond to changes in neighboring tiles. It creates a wonderful feeling of emergent behavior where putting down a single new tile creates beautiful ripple effects. The experience on the Nintendo Switch is decent but I’ll probably be buying it again for PC shortly
Really enjoying Timberborn.
I will finish it at some point. I had the ending and twists spoiled for me and I put it down because of it. Was pretty far in too.
Edit: Jedi Survivor that is.
Swapping between Diablo IV and.... Banished! Mods weren't working for me, but playing vanilla and it still holds up for me!
Just finished Tears of the Kingdom. Fantastic experience. Dug through my Humble Choice backlog yesterday and landed on Monster Prom co-op with my gf. Surprisingly fun game that I would have completely missed.
Been replaying NFS ProStreet on PC, couldn't get enough of it at the moment lol.
League of Legends aram only Battlefield 2042 Hogwarts legacy 25 hours in really enjoying it.
