So handsome. We had to have our tabby boy put to sleep yesterday and my wife and I are a wreck. These moments are treasures. Thank you for sharing.

I wonder if cats think that sitting alone and sadly staring at a rectangle all day is their owner's version of a cat sneaking off somewhere to hide when they're sick.

Kitty just wants you to feel better

this is why my first purchase when I get a cat... will be one of those clear acrylic keyboard covers that allows the cat to sit on top.

also putting a cat tree next to the desk by the window is what one of the local cat shelter volunteers does.

2

We had to install a desk perch because of this. Turns out cats don't understand the concept of "working hours".

I was a juror on a murder trial last year. It was interesting if a bit grim. The crime scene photos were rough but the worst part is friends and family taking the stand.

I've been on two juries (thankfully not for a murder), and yeah it is an interesting experience. I'm just getting sick of being picked every few years.

You showed up once, that was the mistake. Now the courts are a like a flock of seagulls that know you have French fries.

Shirk your civic duty and tell them you are racist against all races and that you would never take the word of a cop. They should dismiss you for that. Also show up wearing a wifebeater that you spilled your breakfast on.

Tried by a jury of your peers my ass.

I showed up once and never got selected, just went home after a day of reading a book in a very uncomfortable setting.

I imagine that for some, it represented a significant financial setback. I work with people now who go to work sick as a dog because they need the sick hours for taking care of some medically needy family member.

Civic duty and all that, but a check for $15 is kinda bullshit for what they're asking.

Trial by jury is one of the few functioning parts of our democracy... This is a really strange comment... As someone who is extremely critical of the United States right now my time as a juror from start to finish was one of the bright points in an otherwise disappointing time in being an American. I am not sure what your point is with this comment...

If you were on trial, do you think the jury would truly represent your peers? Would they come from the same socioeconomic background as you? Would they come from the same cultural background as you? Including all of the biases that come with that? Do you think jury selection is fair?

Would they come from the same socioeconomic background as you? Would they come from the same cultural background as you?

If your lawyer isn't shit, then yeah hopefully

there's a solution, get a trackball mouse, then you don't move your hand to use it.

I got one, and at least for me, they are far superior to traditional mice

10

I cat sometimes sits in my lap with her head on my right arm, so I cannot move my hand for a mouse, but can still use my thumb...

Also, try trackball, it's so much more comfortable than a regular mouse

1

The cat would say regular mice are more tasty, if it could say anything

1

Yup, you basically become an amputee for a little while. The law says that arm is gone until the claimant releases it. You are a cat hostage, and this may be a while. Godspeed, see you on the other side 🫡

Mine will lick my forearm hair when I’m on the computer, like she’s cleaning me. But only when I’m on the computer 🤷

As someone who works from and has a cat. You must always accommodate the cat and their desires/

Yes. Both his eyes were badly infected when he was a kitten and one had to be removed.

You reached the end
