It feels like every other bundle is AI slop books and honestly getting to the point of just nuking my account

There's a reason Humble Choice always comes with a month of IGN Plus.

fanatical.com is kind of the same idea, but maybe less corporate. As with Humble, it's mostly crap but some good stuff appears now and then.

When it was new, about half the bundles were amazing and half were okay.

A few years ago it was 20% great 60% middling and 20% garbage.

It’s veering into 5:10:85 territory now but the occasional good ones are welcome. I think I buy more book bundles than games now

The sale to IGN is a big one, and they’ve been peddling crap on there since before the LLM apocalypse. Usually I’d see comments about safely ignoring any bundle with courses by Packt as a rule. But the state of PC gaming as a whole, indie gaming, the third party Steam key economy, the mass transition to subscription software, there’s way more going on that just makes the original Humble Bundles’ magic so much harder to do again

I used to buy the $1 book bundle tier all the time, but they increased that to $5 so meh. I didn't know there was an acquisition. Maybe that explains.

I usually do the ones that have proper publishers, like the Wiley certification help books, comics, or the like, but yeah, there's definitely been a reduction in quality, especially among the software bundles.
