In The Netherlands we had a long running detective and basically if you hadn't played a victim you weren't an established actor yet.

"Look man, this role is just a side gig for me. I'm just gonna lay here, and pretend to be dead. I get to have a few minutes of peace, doing absolutely nothing for 3 minutes, and make more money than the average American makes in 3 years. I don't want a speaking part. That would be like.....work. I just want to rest, and you guys get to advertise that Kate Moss was on your show."

This is the vibe I get from celebrities most of the time. She, as an actress, turned down a cameo role, because she, as an actress would have had to act. And that's too much.

Meanwhile I've worked in factories for $9 an hour, in 130F heat. Fucking hell.

Acting dead is not as easy as it sounds, and it may be a day of availability. The difference is that your factory makes a set amount from your shift, while a studio can sell your TV work again and again over an extended period.

It's funny because I always wanted to play a cadaver on a police drama as well.

My girl always wants to play a cadaver whenever we bump uglies.

I think that there's something of a binary distinction between speaking and non-speaking parts under SAG union rules. Like, it gets significantly more expensive more expensive once someone speaks.

I'm not sure whether a zombie moaning crosses the line into a speaking part.

The only movie role I want is to be a zombie in a zombie movie. I want to just shuffle around and groan with make up making me look dead. That is if I ever had a movie role.

Whatever happened to those “Zombie runs” from the early 2000s?

Wasn't Daisy Ridley's first on camera role playing a cadaver?

EDIT: BBC's Silent Witness.

Orlando Bloom’s last job before flying to New Zealand was a corpse in Midsomer Murders

Maybe she saw that one episode of Sunny and thought Dee's part in it was so funny she wanted to try the same
