Oh, you're right. I misunderstood the layout and didn't realize they stacked multiple different stories on top of each other. I was skimming and apparently mostly read "A Mom Says Her Baby Came Home From Daycare With a Swollen Hand, and Doctors Later Found Three Broken Bones Nobody Had Reported" further down the page.

The cries are very different, so are the barks of a dog. But that’s something you learn with time. I understand my kids and my dog perfectly, at the same time I have no idea what other kids or dogs try to say. A communication form that is uniquely shaped in the family.

Low pay and shitty corporate conduct doesn’t exactly encourage the most compassionate people to apply, sadly
Part of the problem is that when you work with children there's always a moment that makes you consider it. When 3 or 4 are going off on one at the same time there's just a second where it comes to mind before you dismiss it as unreasonable.
When you're low paid and have shitty management those times tend to be a lot more common and you have fewer tools to deal with them. Eventually, when you run out of reasonable alternatives, it starts to look a lot less unreasonable.
What the fuck? I used to work with kids and this never once even crossed my mind.
Ok, sure, if you've only worked adjacent to kids or in one-on-one environments you might still be that naive, but even the most compassionate and sympathetic teachers experience it by the end of their first year - all children misbehave in a wide variety of ways for a wide variety of reasons and thinking yourself above getting annoyed by it is setting yourself up for failure.
You don't actually do it, but you definitely discuss it with your coworkers over lunch on particularly bad days.
I didn't say I've never been annoyed by the children I worked with (which was also not in the scenarios you so condescendingly suggested). I never considered setting up a child fight club, which is beyond fucked up and what it seemed you were suggesting. None of the people I worked with ever suggested such a thing, either.
yeah idk what this guys on about ive also worked with kids and yes ofcourse you see the little barbarians get up to some wild stuff once in a while, but never have i thought about actively encouraging that stuff. Thats the opposite of what im there for!
Right? Like I've got plenty frustrated at times, but I never wished harm upon the kids. I just wanted a damn break so they would be someone else's problem for a few minutes lol.
