In case, like me, you're wondering what umu is:

This is a unified launcher for Windows games on Linux. It is essentially a copy of the Steam Runtime Tools and Steam Linux Runtime that Valve uses for Proton, with some modifications made so that it can be used outside of Steam.

I my memories are coorect it is a common FOSS brick used by Heroic, Lutris, Faugus and probably most Linux games launchers.

On a complete tangent, has anyone gotten the new Steam shortcuts creation to work yet? I just get the "could not find 'itch' program to point shortcuts to" or something similar each time... The bug report hasn't gotten any responses yet either.

P.S. One of the heart reactions on that screenshot is me :D

i have no idea what any of this means except that when i need to procrastinate my music projects, my linux project just got easier
