This is some good satire. And, yes, human memory is not made of "records", it is reconstructed every time. AI models are nothing like human brains, however.
You say satire, but kids developing "magical" compression algorithms were a thing in programming long before LLMs. This exact idea is not novel, even though it was executed quite a bit better by Facebook. It never got good enough for a real world application.

Apples next plan to reduce your photo size on the phone so they can continue to provide absolute minimum storage options. They would probably still have 16GB iPhones if this was even a glimmer of a possibility a few years ago.
