Its more fun in real life, I got to feed her and give her scritches behind the ears. No names though, farmer thought that was too far. She hit the slaughter house the next day.
Same with my buddy, farmers make mad money. He breeds them and sells the cafes once they ween. As they age out he slaughters them if he needs beef or auctions them too. I usually get a text msg a week or two prior with a list of whats available.
Best beef, grass fed w/ a daily does of potato skins.
(there is a potato chip factory near by that gives him the skins. The cows go mad for them!)
Only tangentially related but I bought a bottle of OceanSpray cranberry last night and it was $7.75! I dont think I've ever paid more than $3 for a bottle of this stuff before.

You went to a famous BBQ spot, and ordered a double burger and fries? Sorry that's on you. And engaging with your dumbass post is on me.
For the readers: There's an $11.95 double cheeseburger place one block up from here. This person is an idiot
Is this 4505 on Divis?
Edit: Figured it out. OP went to NOPA and got the burger. Great restaurant with excellent service.
I’d smash that halibut crudo currently on the menu. Yes this place is high end.
Actually infuriating.
yeah this guy makes like 200 posts a day
Still better than Patnou (?) and their 200 absurd questions each day.
What is it Pug's new account?
How did you find this? Do you cross reference all posts on Lemmy, or [gasp] do you still visit Reddit??
I went to Reddit.
It's part of my daily routine to go there and click ads for an hour just to make sure Spez doesn't starve.
For me its not log on, ad blocker on, and I burn up his bandwidth on dashcams and guys being dude video. Then Lemmy for the rest of the day.
why, let him starve
He’s cute though.
You're brave to order mystery ground beef right now. Highly recommend avoiding it for the foreseeable future.
This is why living rural is the best. I get my beef from a friend that has a bunch of cows. Same /w eggs, poultry, vegetables, pork, venison.
I have literally have pulled a Ron Swanson and met my meat before slaughter.
I tried to buy part of a cow but i have on a website that made you choose your cow, like a lobster. Nope! Not doing that!

Circle of life.
I just bought a quarter cow from a local rancher. Dude is independently wealthy and does it for fun. Great beef and I know where it came from.

assuming that's as packed with animal products as it looks, it should be much more.
Is that cheese? Looks like a melted piece of plastic.
So is San Fransisco officially a theme park now?
Hot rickety, sweet Jesus!
I hope it was a damn good burger for that.
Well it looks cheap, so there is that. 😋
It looks like it's straight out of the Sysco order catalog.
Surprisingly low for SF - that's a common price all over the place these days.
Which is why I don't go to such places anymore.
