Truck still needs:

  • gigantic lift kit
  • absurdly bright aftermarket headlights
  • ladder to reach the doors
  • cowcatcher on the front to move inconvenient pedestrians out of the way

Don't forget to donk it out with rear squat suspension, wheel spacers, and enormous rims

At what point do you need a commercial vehicle license?

That's lower than I'd expect. The new Hummer EV weighs significantly more than 3500kg.

Hummers and big trucks in general are pretty rare in Germany. Some people who got their driving license a long time ago are allowed to drive heavier vehicles but the standard Führerschein Klasse B is 3.5 tons max. You can add additional licenses but it can get pretty expensive (several thousand Euros).

However, big vehicles are pretty impractical anyways in Germany. The cities, at least the older parts of them, are not built for cars. Often it's already tight for small cars. Parking spaces are usually also tight.

Factors may also be the higher fuel prices and being unable to fit inside a parking building

Depends on the state, but it's often around 26,000 gross pounds, or some length + combination tractor trailer if not driving for hire.

There’s a reason truckers call RV drivers “fucking terrorists”. You can legally drive an RV without a commercial license, even though it’s the size of a goddamned bus. Which means you never received training on how to avoid things like “sucking cyclists under your vehicle with your wake”.

I was able to drive a 38’ Class-A RV, weighing 24,000 lbs with my normal license….

Is the vehicle¹ supposed to be used on the UK or Australia?

1 - Honestly, I almost wrote "car" there, but no idea what this thing is named.

Well giving it has a bed I would personally lump it in with trucks such as it is.

Pavement princess, horrifying anti pedestrian killing machine automotive transportation platform

Honestly, I unintentionally created a word salad

Let’s just call it a evil malevolent giant car

1

Well, it doesn't have a usable bed so it's not a truck.

You reached the end
