I think many people don't enjoy DP as much as they think they might, and I actually entered the comments just to see if anyone else was saying this, but no

Well there you go, set achievable goals for yourself. The challenge can come from a stretch goal, which I am sure she also had in mind.

lemmy.world

If you want to trust the people involved, it’s a lot harder.

The are apparently some clubs for activities, Craigslist, dating/hookup apps, and if all else fails you can walk around certain parts of town with a sandwich board.

Now I want to know what that sandwich board would look like. Would it be artistic and sexy or just use three words in an easy to read font?

lemmy.world

Both are admirable aspirations! And remember, if one doesn't work out, you can always try the other.

Yeah, imagine aunt Mabel asking the classic "What you wanna do when you grow up?"

Onlyfans actually went through a bit of a phase were they actually considered banning pornography (because that wasn't actually the original intention of the site so when it became popular for that they weren't initially happy about it) but then they realized that was stupid.

What was the original intention?

Basically patreon, but somehow it ended up with something else.

I don't really see how violet works as a bit though. A bit specifically has to be funny right? And get "laughter" as a reaction - well, violet is more like "how many people can I trick into believing this dumb objectifying bullshit"

All violet's posts ever conjured up for me are memories of male redditors pretending to be ladies, posting or responding to sex question threads all the time.

Violet is the same person who did the "Saudi Arabian housewife" larp, right?

(Not trying to be argumentative. It's an interesting topic and I want to get to the objective truth of the matter)

In the fight for universal healthcare, taking care of two people at once is a nice head start.

lemmy.world

Half of lemmy is unironically like this.

They just shove it in without care or context, I hope homegirl has better XD

13
lemmy.zip

Which? The dp announcement or commenting their hopes and dreams?

Godricreply

The unasked for political whingeing, realized sexual achievement isn't very Lemmy XD

12

To be fair Lemmy was created by communists, and I think it was partially created to have better spaces to discuss political ideas like communism in. But also: i totally agree.

lemmy.today

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. It's hard enough to get two people to show up for sex, three is exponentially harder.

8
boonhetreply
sopuli.xyz

It's exponentially easier if you're an attractive woman

12

Yeah I keep meaning to have a sex change but you know, it's hard to find the time.

2

Nah, she kinda mid ngl

::: spoiler spoiler ... I am allowed to say that about a person whose career choice relies pretty much completely on aesthetical factors, right? :::

2
sh.itjust.works

"Attractive" is making an assumption here. Thankfully, it's not a particularly important one.

2

You can google her, she's not physically unattractive at the very least.

2

It also helps if your DP buddy is cute, too.

1

It’s okay to have multiple, concurrent, lifelong goals.

It’s also okay to take what you can get 👌

It's cuz cm0002 has accounts on every instance under the sun so they basically can't be blocked.

There was once a list of all their alts but it's gotten lost in time and likely isn't updated anymore.

6

There's a link to it in the bio of every account used for my .ml crossposting campaign.

The only account not updated on it is removing my lemy.lol account since I've pulled that one from the rotation lol

Some people don't like my stance against .ml, my calls for boycott against them and my .ml crossposting campaign

::: spoiler Why am I cross-posting .ml content?

I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to help vitilize non-.ml comms and make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don't want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some active niche comms.

Megathread on the issue

Some highlights from the link:

Dessalines, head .ml admin, lead Lemmy dev actively spreading genocide denialism https://sh.itjust.works/post/61371958

.ml admin, Nutomics continued transphobia https://lemmy.world/post/29222558 The original transphobic Comment from Nutomic: https://lemmy.world/post/18236068

"If you don't support Russia then you just don't understand geopolitics" ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/27352415

"Don't worry guys, the Uyghur Genocide was REALLY just birth control! ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/30580167

"See! nobody died IN Tiananmen Square, just AROUND it, so it doesn't count!!" ~ Davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/30673342

"NK is actually good and anything counter to that is Western propaganda!" ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/31595035

General negative sentiment to other instances who haven't "seen the way" yet ~davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/27426510

And so so much documentation on clear heavy handed censorship and bias also on the link. So much I can't even put them all here because this comment would be really long.

I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda

On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like "Lemmy? Isn't that the place with a bunch of tankies?" Or "Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left". The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team. :::
