SLPT: Having trouble spreading cold butter on toast?
Just microwave the knife for a few seconds to warm it up - problem solved!

You can put lots of metal stuff in a microwave. You just can’t have sharp bits that can arc. I’m pretty sure a knife would be fine.
Microwave's seriously dangerous! Which is why I put my butter knife in the toaster slot.
Smart! I also keep it near my bathtub, so I can cast it into the water if it starts to make a fire.
Safety first: Use an extension cord in case it's too far.
Explanation: I mean the really cheap extenders that bypass the circuit breaker.
