Watching Silo. Fast forwarding through the modern day flashbacks. Maybe they shouldn’t have followed the later books so closely. That first season sure was good though.

As a book reader I’d argue the problem is they aren’t following the books closely enough :/ The plot from the flashbacks has been very different from the books.

The pacing has been atrocious, we’re now 4 episodes into season 3 and still retreading and resetting back to where we were at the end of last season…

I am in a deep showhole so I decided to do a couple of re-watches.

True Detective Season 1.

Harrelson and McConaughey are on par with Newman and Redford, Tracy and Hepburn and Mathau and Lemon as one of the greatest pairings in acting history. They really were amazing in this show. I forgotten how silly some of McConaughey’s monologues are damn the episode with the shoot out in the housing project is still incredible.

LMAO I started watching the new season of this:

The show is the same as it ever was and it blows my mind that I quit watching this show at least 15 years ago and these guys are still at it. The tech the boats have is a whole other level and the camera work is so much better. At the end of the day, though it is a new season it is the same old shit it ever was. Also while the tech the boats have is all modernize the damn things are still floating wrecks.

Season 1 of true detective is a masterpiece. I love the cinematography of the area too. Everything is so sunken, so.... bayou-ish and flat. Like it's the bottom of the world.

I binged the latest season of King of the Hill (season 2 of the reboot).

It is absolutely fantastic. I wish we could go back to 20+ episode seasons with new episodes every week, and a new season every year.

These characters are just so great, and I want more.

I'm halfway through the newest season. I'm so glad that it came back strong. A good streak of revivals have been coming in. KotH, Scrubs, and X-Men 97 have been solid.

I just started Plur1bus. Fantastic so far. Maybe 4 episodes in?

Also watching White Lotus again with my wife.

Recommend both.

I'm watching Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia. Insanely beautiful and based on historic events and people.

I started Big Mistakes on Netflix last night with my mom. It's a crime/drama/comedy that's co-created by Dan Levy, who also stars as one of the main protagonists. It's pretty good so far, a lot of interesting dynamics in the show, and a lot of funny scenes.

Currently on-going:

  • Silo S3
  • House of the Dragon S3
  • Ghost in the Shell (latest anime remake)

Ronja the Robber's Daughter aka Ronja Rövardotter - just finished this, it's meant for teens but I recommend it for adults too. This show did something that no USAmerican show could do: a wholesome scene with tons of full frontal male nudity
The Brokenwood Mysteries - this show is the Kiwi version of Midsummer Murders, I enjoy it but I put some episodes in the background lol
Deadly Tropics aka Tropiques criminels - I'm already on season 6. I really have a blast watching this show, except when they spend too much time on the male love interests

And I finished The Vampire Lestat - season 3 was fantastic and I need season 4 now
