They are continuing the American tradition of white supremacist organizations invading cites they don't live in to intimidate people they hate.

Lots of white supremacist live in EVERY city. But you're correct otherwise.

If they truly believed in their message they wouldn't hide their faces. Cowards

I get the sentiment but there are plenty of valid reasons to hide one's face. I believe strongly in protecting immigrants and resisting ICE. I hide my face to protect myself and my family. Cowards aren't on the streets so they don't have to cover their faces. Cowards are those that stay inactive and don't fight back when masked fascist come to hurt their neighbors.

These guys aren't cowards and they definitely believe their message of hate. Saying they are cowards is a way for you to pretend they aren't a threat. That you don't have to do anything when our government supports them. They are a threat. They hide their faces because there ARE people fighting back against them.

They aren't cowards BUT they are weak. Because there are a lot more of us then them. But we aren't all organized like they are. If you and I don't organize against them, and push them out of every public space when they do this, one day they won't worry about wearing a mask.

37

Nah they're cowards. Racists operate on fear of the other. Fear and cowardice are all they know. If they didn't fear ppl who didnt look like them they'd have to accept they're responsible for their own failures.

Hiding your face because you oppose the state and hiding your face even though you have the backing of the state are entirely different things.

10

Yes. That's essentially what my comment said.

4

They are already validated by our government. Every single one of these guys is a member of ICE. I'm validating what they represent as a threat; not validating their beliefs as true.

Pretending that neonazis are cowards that will not fight or that they won't die for their beliefs in white supremacy is not helpful. It's pretending that they are not a threat.

2

I understand what you're saying but this might not be the beat way to describe it.

I think their supremacist beliefs are held in the core of their being. They may on some level know they're not superior to anyone else, but they do believe that they deserve to be treated as superior.

They're cowards because they understand that their beliefs are not acceptable and there will be consequences in their lives that they're unwilling to encounter.

I always find it funny when racists are so proud to be racist that they hide their face when showing the world how racist they are.

Why are they using public transit? Isn't that what communists use? Should be they be driving their private, gas-guzzling vehicles, complete with Truck Nutz?

42

If we photograph their license plates, they can be figured out. That’s why. They are hiding.

18

JoeBob forgot the truck nutz at home so they had to take the train.

How can they breath with those on? Must be big supporters of social distancing. /s

Fucking disgrace, how fitting for this shithole

Remember Heather Heyer.

Patriot Front was birthed from the anal prolapses of Vanguard. I think she might have been the first Trump death in 2016.

Could be wrong.

25

Convenient of them to wear hats with the an actual literal fasces, the original symbol for and namesake of fascism, just to remove any plausible deniability of their intent.

The best way to deal with them is yell a random name the person who looks say I thought that was you,. Your employer is going to hear about it

I would prefer the purifying sweep of a machine gun.

11

Sad that the good citizens of DC didn't give them the welcome they so richly deserve.

11

They need a modern day tar 'n feathering. Water balloons/super soakers of some sticky substance (rubber cement? elmers glue? latex paint?) followed by air cannons of tinsel?

10

And encountered no one giving a fuck. They wanted interaction, and found no one to engage with 'em.

Best to ignore the idiots.

9

That's the freedom Trump gives you: you're free to be a racist, backwards asshole.

6

In 2015 I would've said this just isn't possible.

Truly the most abhorrent behavior.

May they each suffer an ingrown toenail and a case of food poisoning

I support their free speech rights. I don’t know if I could convict someone of assaulting one of them.

They are not here to sway a political opinion on something small. They are there to incite violence and tear apart the country. They are a walking hate symbol.

Liberals are more comfortable with the world that exists in their heads. That following the "ideas" of democracy will end up for peace and prosperity for all. It's why they get tricked into defending Nazis like this all the time. Their more concerned with the process than they are with the outcome. So they stand up and defend free speech in really obvious situations like this so they can grandstand on their false belief that the process works and will result in the best outcomes for all.

Even now, as that very process has lead to Fascism and Oligarchy they still think that the ideas are worth defending even though the world those ideas created is crumbling down all around them.

They have diluted themselves into thinking it just needs minor fixes and needs to be followed more strictly. So, they double down even further to protect the fascist based on following process. While, at the same time criticize the fascist and wave their fingers when the fascist don't follow the process for others.

They will sit by and do this until one day they wake up and realize that they are just Liberals living in a fully fascist society that has run out of people to target and is now coming after them.

I really wish Americans would learn that free speech is an illusion that exists in their heads; and stop feeling like they have to defend white supremacist with this "right to free speech" line everytime these groups get together to start violence.

There is no such thing as free speech. It's a cute little idea. But it only ever seems to be protected and spoken about to defend the existing structures of power and white supremacy.

It’s really just protection from the government. It doesn’t mean the things you say don’t have repercussions.

Tell me at which time in history free speech was protected in America?

Tell that to women, slaves, immigrants, communist, Japanese Americans during WW2, socialist, civil rights leaders, etc.

It's a nice "idea" mate. But, it's never been an actual thing that has existed at any time in American history.

You're allowed your free speech for as long as the government does not see that speech as a threat to its power and status quo. Unions, civil rights activist, slave abolishonist, they were not allowed their "free speech" because people hearing what they had to say was seen as a threat to maintain the oppressive structures of Capital, white supremacy, and slavery.

Give me a decade in the last 250 years and I'll give you an example of the government arresting or suppressing it's citizens "right to free speech".

It exists in your head as an idea we all like to thrive for. Sure. But it has never actually existed in application.

People have rights.

Sometimes rights are violated, and sometimes their rights have to be defended, or failing that, they have a right to awards for damages from the violators of such rights.

Under socialism, is speech restricted as per the terms of the party in power, or the Great Dear Leader?

Is a woman's right to abortion subject to the needs of pro-natalist socialism?

Would it be just for 100 000 of, say, Uighurs who are counter-revolutionaries, or who are at risk at becoming counterrevolutionaries, to be sent to re-education camps to become the ethnicity of the group that is the most accomplished at enacting socialist policies?

There is no such thing as free speech.

Presumably that's what Nazis believed/believe.

0

Supporting free speech while also supporting them getting punched in the face can coexist.
