I've seen this done with fertilizer - it's too concentrated so it kills the grass, but then it disperses a bit and you get really lush grass where it was applied. For years it's a different color. Of course they'll probably bulldoze the whole area.

Nice. I would have suggested gasoline, but that's way too expensive to waste right now.

Grass samples . . . Somebody walked out there with some saltwater or grass killer, you probably want some pictures going after everyone in a 100 mile radius that bought some roundup around spring is going to be a tall order.

Looked more like they landed a drone and created crop circles. Maybe they affixed a blade to the bottom and landed. Would explained why it fades out, blade dulled after the 8.

Looks like a drone, maybe. Also, application would have been a handful of hours or less before either sprinklers or rain. Mpre surfactant would have done a better job.
