Functionally, yes, it is auditory dyslexia. You're not struggling to hear, you're struggling to get the sounds to process into words.

Every act of listening I do is active listening because I have to actively struggle to keep up with the conversation.

I don't know what I have but I cannot hold a conversation in a crowd because simply can't understand them

I'm gonna "huh" the shit out of people even when I heard them just fine.

I often wonder why people put the unnecessary periods in an acronym, but then leave off the last period. Doesn't really matter for memes, but I've seen that on professional signage and it looks like whoever did the design had a really shitty editor.

My least favorite is when somebody reiterates instead of repeating themselves. Just say what you said again so I can hear it!

I'm sure I've agreed to lots of things I shouldn't have because I didn't hear and nodded my head in agreement because I'm tired of saying "Huh?" and "Pardon me?" all the time.
