You mean legally or factually, for the most part you have to have a license or be part of a wildlife rescue type group. Yes they can be quite tame though, same with any animal although domesticated is technically different.
From what I understand... technically yes, especially if they're found young. But they do have a tendency of getting meaner/wilder when they reach maturity.

They would give you mushroom after a fight and then you can go trip and adventure in special place for extra meat and items.......I'm old.
