Ok you cannot just say "1 hole". Is it 1 topological hole (aka the thing is a tube), or just 1 hole as the common sense definition (aka the thing is a sock)

Does this mean that tube socks are not, in fact, tubes?

If there is a second hole in the sock, does that change things?

I have a lot to consider now.

No, all socks have at least one hole in them.

I mean topologically no, since sock is equivalent to some flat surface.

And to your original question, when you put a hole in the sock, it does become a tube. And a tubr can be seen as a surface with one hole

An organism with no organs? Wouldn't that be an ism?

According to this points at entire world history, that's one of the most dangerous things there is!

The etymological root that is organon means tool and the original usage of organism in English means an organized structure so the purest form of organism is a tool shed which does not need tools in it to be a tool shed.

Thanks for coming to my TedX talk on biological organization

According to other comments, it is less a living churro and more a living jelly donut.

I read it and immediately thought of Trump and a lot of others that exist for no reason but he was the first that came to mind.

Hmmm.. if an ‘organism’ has no organs, is it still an organism? 🤔
