A spreadsheet listing the number of harvests for every crop every season, accounting for every combination of growth speed modifiers

Tired of scrambling to till, water, fertilize, and plant several hundred crops on the first day of every season? You don't have to! You can achieve your farm's maximum efficiency while delaying planting certain crops by several days.

This might be relatively niche. I like to grow some of every available crop every season, devoting at least half a pressurized iridium sprinkler to each one. But I also don't like farming until 2 AM and passing out before I finish planting. So I made this spreadsheet!

It accounts for every combination of speed growth modifiers, lists the maximum number of harvests for each crop, per plot, per season/year, and lists the last day you can plant to still achieve that maximum harvest. Hopefully someone somewhere can gain some value from this

Lyra

Taken with a Canon EOS 550D with an 80mm lens on an equatorial tracking mount, under Bortle 4 skies. 30 thirty second lights, 50 darks, 50 flats.

Stacked in Siril following the manual pre-processing tutorial. Stretched also in Siril using Asinh Transformation. I set the stretch factor to 30, and the black point to 0.005, then exported the image as a jpeg.

I think she looks a bit better than my attempt at Orion. You can sort of make out the Ring nebula.

Also, I'm pretty sure that's a comet over to the right of Sulafat. Tiny green cloud of consistent size, drifted a few arcminutes over the ~20 minutes I was capturing these images

My first real attempt at astrophotography, Orion

Taken from my Canon EOS T2i, mounted to the top of my telescope. Thirty 10-second exposures. Manually subtracted the same dark frame from every one to account for the many dead pixels, then manually aligned and stacked in GIMP. No idea what I'm doing, but I like it good enough. Stacked with Siril. Should have done that from the start lol

Next time I'm gonna try to capture it high in the sky instead of when it's at the horizon, and I'm gonna watch a tutorial on stacking instead of dicking around blindly

EDIT: I followed a tutorial! At least, as best as I could with one dark frame and no bias or flats. Still, a massive improvement over manual stacking. Still just dicked around with the colors and levels in GIMP after stacking, but you can sort of see M42 now!

Original picture for posterity. This is what the first 10 comments saw.

AI generated reddit post—did I imagine it?

A while back, someone made a post on an AITAH type subreddit, then updated it saying it was generated with AI. Like 3/4 of the comments left after the update were responding to the story as if there wasn't a big bold THIS STORY IS FAKE update at the top. I've been trying to find this post again for weeks, but no variation of "reddit AITAH AI generated post" offers anything useful on any search engines. Am I remembering wrong? Did I dream this up???

UPDATE: Thank you phlegmy for finding the post!

Yet another post that reads like four shakespeare characters who come out in the middle of the play to talk about something completely unrelated for comic relief

(Enter RADISHN'T, MOTHMAN MISATO, BOIMG FROG and CATS'N RAINCOATS, stage left. They are having a HEATED DISCUSSION.)

RADISHN'T: Prithee, which one of you had planned to tell

Of diff'rent flavours gained by simple act

Of brewing tea with water hot, not cold?

MOTHMAN: Egad! you poured the water cold? Wherefore?!

FROG: An answer from you, Radish, I must beg.

RADISHN'T: Indeed I did, dear friends - why does this shock?

Without the guide of others I assumed

That heat was merely added for the sake

Of expediting this solution's brewing!

Half a decade I have spent, or more,

Not questioning this worldview I had made.

In fact, I am myself a bit surprised

That you might think that I, your dearest friend,

Might have a patience of sufficient stock

To wait until a pot of water boils.

FROG: Three minutes overtaxes patience so?

The microwave will beep when it is done!

CATS'N: My friend, this answer vexes me the more!

Can it be true that thou dost boil by nuke?!

FROG: Are you in turn, my friend, so shocked to know

That I have not the patience, like our Root,

To boil upon the stove our favour'd drink?

CATS'N: It takes less than a minute!

FROG: On what plate?

Perhaps your dinner cooks atop the sun?

CATS'N: How long can take your stove to fill the task

Of boiling but a single cup alone?

FROG: In minutes?

CATS'N: Yes!

FROG: I counted seven, once.

CATS'N: Perhaps you ought to have your timepiece checked!

If on a middle heat you place the cup

You soon will have the scalding drink you crave.

Two minutes, in a mug upon the plate

Or even less, if you should have a pot.

FROG: You cause me tears - is this how thou dost live?

You place upon the iron stove a mug?

A mug, ceramic, filled with water cold?

How do these flames, though medium in height,

Not shatter like a glass this fragile thing?

Surely, then, your kitchen is bewitched

With magicks far beyond the mortal ken!

(The FOUR realise they have wandered into the THRONE ROOM. The ROYAL COURT watches with fascination.)

KING: Ev'ry single person in this group

must be a fucking lunatic, it seems.
