Anyone else remember trying to catch anime on the sci-fi network on Saturday mornings? It never seemed to start at a consistent time and it was usually Vampire Hunter D.
Back before anime was even close to mainstream and hardly anything was translated.
Back when it was referred to as "Japanimation." I used to watch the Saturday morning anime. I caught Green Legend Ran on there and remember really liking it. I need to revisit that one at some point.

It's been like 20 years since I watched through Dragonball though. I know Bulma is at least topless a few times. Besides that, what? Oolong and Krillin once or twice?
What's the nudity one from? When I was very young, I caught about two minutes of an anime on public television in a different language.
Did a dude knight climb up the tower wall, see her, and almost fall off? Is she changing the dressing on an arrow wound?
I didn't really discover anime for over a decade after that so I might be misremembering the art style altogether.
But I sure filed it away as "Something Interesting".
AND?! what's wrong with starting out with these perfectly viable/plausible plot and visual design concepts? If anything that medium was prescient. People be asploding Neo Tokyo on the regular now in their tiktoks for the memeslingery.
