Having seen parts of Zelensky's show I understood how people could be duped thinking he'd make a good peacemaking uncorrupt president. You would have to notice how his greedy desperation wasn't just a goofy act or sympathy with the needs of Ukrainian people, but a very bad trait that can easily dig you into trouble.

Also Ukraine to a large degree was pushed and duped into the war first with the coup of their neutral government then with the US waving the carrot of NATO membership in front of Ukraine.
Israel on the other hand has found a weak controllable leader in the US and has wagged the dog on this one.
