Pam Bondi wants the government to create cash bounties for turning in trans equality activists - LGBTQ Nation

[A]lso after Charlie Kirk’s death, the Heritage Foundation twisted data to claim that “50% of all major (non-gang-related) school shootings since 2015 have involved or likely involved transgender ideology.” That was in an effort to get the FBI to create a new domestic terror threat category for “Transgender Ideology-Inspired Extremism.”

How much longer until they decide to just round up the transgender people with the Gestapo ICE? It's getting scary for transgender people.

Pam Bondi wants the government to create cash bounties for turning in trans equality activists - LGBTQ Nationhttps://www.lgbtqnation.com/2025/12/pam-bondi-wants-the-government-to-create-cash-bounties-for-turning-in-trans-equality-activists/Open linkView original on lemmy.world

"Cash Bounties" seems to be the GOP go-to in a country that's increasingly impoverished and facing mounting inflation in cost-of-living. Quite literally paying one half of the poor to kill the other half.

Folks kick around "when does the US Civil War start?" both in jest and in anxiety. But we're getting into real Fugitive Slave Act territory with this kind of policy. Between ICE Agents racing around to hit deportation quotas and anti-Abortion Bounty Hunters getting introduced across the Gulf Coast, we really are barrelling towards the AnCap privatized police force meme.

132

That and it's a way to get around regulations that prevent police from acting. See Texas and abortion bounties, thank you supreme court

It’s pretty unoriginal. They’re following the Nazis playbook.

And I’m pretty sure the Nazis were following someone else’s playbook, I just can’t be bothered to go look at the list of historical assholes

32

Sure, but I’m pretty sure the playbook goes back to the dawn of civilization.

Threatening people into turning in their neighbors is some NK bullshit. Paying people to rat on them is just the next evolution of capitalism.

25

Authoritarians love a snitch society. Imagine the worst asshold in an HOA, and now give them power to ruin your life.

No thanks.

8

Maybe we'll be able to bet on the bounty futures via CNN, make even more money hoss!!

6

When Nazis came to power in Germany, many people attacked the Jews not because they were antisemitic, but because the state gave them tacit permission to rob and loot and Jewish homes and businesses. Due to the hard economic times, most average people were desperate

6

“50% of all major (non-gang-related) school shootings since 2015 have involved or likely involved transgender ideology.”

Let me guess, the white cis boy shooter hated trans people so its "involved transgender ideology"?

86

We're pretty sure the white cis boy shooter had heard the word "trans" at osme point in his life, and that's what radicalized him

Even more basic than that, it is just to be able to sell a f* ton of guns to gravy seals and make bank. End results be damned.

The tyranny or community school

Or just this. They fucking hate other people so much, even their own neighbors. Y'all ever been to a conservative town or suburb? You can feel the tension of everyone being terrified of each other. Ready to turn on anyone in a moment if they do anything "out of line". It's a terrible and miserable way to live, the problem is they keep trying to put it on everyone else too.

I'll make it ten. overpaying a bit but there's shipping to consider

Personally I'd rather see her choke to death via being hanged. Would be a rather fitting end for one of these wannabe klansmen, also it's how the Nazis were executed though they were given the mercy of having their necks snapped. I do not believe in mercy for pissants like these.

Funny thing about the Nazis who were hung... A lot of them were hung by a guy named John C Woods who was a drunk and a terrible hangman, so a lot of them didn't actually get much mercy because they were hung improperly.

Behind the Bastards covered him and I recommend a listen. If I remember right it's speculated the leadership knew he was a shitty hangman and actually were okay with him fucking it up.

11

Pour one out for John C Woods, don't know if he was shitty in general but making Nazis suffer is always acceptable. Will probably listen to the behind the bastards video later I guess.

4

I want so many of them to spend their lives in prison but given how milquetoast the opposition tends to be, I assume they'll let them skate with some kind of bothsiderist slogan and a sentiment to "look forward".

Do it, its actually a very fun hobby (although it can get expensive). Spending an hour at the range is an awful lot like bowling or mini golf. There is a lot of skill involved and you get to go down the rabbit hole of choosing the best equipment.

I'd recommend asking around your group if anyone is going to the range soon and see if you can tag along. There are way more liberal gun owners than you can imagine, and everyone of them would love to take you on your first range trip.

Before you go, make sure you memorize the 4 rules.

If you can't find a range buddy, just about every range offers lessons. Shop around for one with good reviews. Most will supply the equipment. https://old.reddit.com/r/liberalgunowners/ is a good place to ask questions.

Grew up with guns in my house, my dad was a hunter. Learned the four rules as youngster. I've shot many times when younger. Last time was over ten years ago. Shot the 9mm until my thumb hurt from reloading. They gave me a box of 12ga slugs to shoot because I was there for my birthday.

The reason I hold back is I'm the person red flag laws were made for.

(Am I doxxing myself? Should I prepare for them coming to find me?)

11

Hello fellow angry person! I have similar struggles and concerns about my firearms, it's a wacky world these days. What's tough is that I can shoot in my yard, and shooting forces me to calm down if I want any accuracy, but I hate handling a rifle when I'm upset. Airgun solved that problem, now I have a pissy gun to go be pissy with in the yard and not scare anyone.

3

Nothing wrong with being prepared. Besides it's just a fun hobby right?

I have enormous ill will against Pam Bondi, but only wish that a fair process of justice is done to hold her accountable for her crimes.

4

I swear I was saying they'd pivot to bounties to target outgroups early in this administration. The people I said it to didn't believe me. Lo and behold, here we are. Floating the idea to test the appetite for it. Then probably remove or sideline people opposed to it internally, and then move forward with implementing it.

I'm tired of my cynical ass being right on matters of things getting worse.

28
lemmy.world

Wasn't there something months ago about bounties and ICE as well?

I remember making jokes that now it really would just be thugs in mask and being indistinguishable from ICE in masks who don't identify themselves.

6

I'm on this bandwagon, more or less. 12 months ago I was certainly fearing some kind of gestapo, only in the form of the proud boys and other terrorist groups that were breaking bread with trump the first time around. What I couldn't puzzle together was how those assholes would mange to mimic legit police and military, in order to have the optics to operate freely.

What I didn't expect was the whitehouse weaponizing the lowest-empathy-with-guns facet of the executive branch, all the while mimicking terrorist thugs in order to operate with maximum friction instead.

Personally, I would prefer dead - the record is clear about their state of humanity. What isn't clear is how many people have been ruined by them. The only value in keeping them alive, is to obtain information about the innocents who have vanished or possibly dead.

There is at least 1,300 missing from Alligator Alcatraz. If it is possible to find survivors or lay rest the dead, that would justify keeping these POS on the mortal coil for a year or two longer in captivity. The most important thing is looking after people, before giving into a rightful anger.

This sort of thing is probably a decade off, depending on how history plays out. I just want the order of operations to ensure innocent folks are alright, before doling out the punishment that must be delivered.

11

Claims from people on Blue Sky. Obviously not proven...but the Trump Regime isn't exactly known for honesty nor letting congressmen to inspect their facilities. 😒

It sucks that it can't be verified, but I am going to assume that claims against Alligator Alcatraz, ICE, and so forth, to be true. I have seen enough video of ICE crashing into people, trafficking people going to their scheduled court hearings, dragging pregnant women, raising arms at civilians, and so forth to believe a lack of moral fiber within the Trump Regime behind closed doors. Or fenced facilities.

The pregnant lady was in my feed last night, if that helps with my assertion.

MINNEAPOLIS: “We kept yelling ‘she’s pregnant! She’s pregnant!’ — they put their knees in her… the handcuffed woman was dragged on the ground…”

EDIT: I remembered that I had a Ground News subscription. One of the six text outlets that reported, Huff Post, claims that 2/3rds of 1,800 detainees are missing from Alligator Alcatraz's rosters, and the lawyers haven't been able to contact their clients for scheduled discussions.

If we're going by US population (or most western countries population) women are not a minority. There are slightly more women than men, about 98 men per 100 women according to the 2024 census.

I very much doubt there would be a secobd time, or that you'd get to enjoy your split of the initial bounty. They're trying to turn the population against each other, and already vanishing people. This isn't rule of law stuff, this is "decades later their remain were found in an unmarked mass grave" stuff.

25

or that you'd get to enjoy your split of the initial bounty.

You say that like either of them will get that initial bounty. It's going to be the same-old shit as tip lines, with some clause like "your tip must directly lead to a conviction to qualify" that's just vague enough for them to claim that the deciding factor was their own work and not the tip.

7
piefed.social

I don't think you understand what they want to do. You would not get "many times", or even a second time.

7

6

Correction: they mean anyone who is gender non-conforming or disliked by the government

"We can always tell" is a fucking lie and so are supposwd transgender killers, which are determined to be so based on NOTHING.

2

I wasn't thinking about it that way but you have a good point.

My point is ultimately that activism (or being trans) isn't illegal, so what is the activity being reported to the justice department? It's not the department of "things that bother me personally," it's department that handles violations of law. But no laws are being violated.

It seems like a weird ask.
