Pretty sure you can't hold atoms that close, there's a repelling force. Something to so with the four fundamentals... Er... Strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force, electomagnetic and gravity.

There also aren’t little bars connecting atoms, and atoms don’t have faces. But here we are.

But maybe what if they do have little faces and they are just shy and won’t look at the camera?

You can definitely hold atoms that close together, but it tends to have bad results.

Hehe yeah, the atoms of the separate fingers are closer than the atoms making up each finger, while I like the concept they were going for, they have accidentally made the fingers literally 'closer than' touching.

gets into whole "there is no touching" near the end. Right up there with Sagan's "Atoms are mainly empty space. Matter is composed chiefly of nothing." existentialism.

The only things holding me back,
are the Pauli Exclusion Principle
and Coulomb's Law!

I'll bet they have a pancreas and a poophole as well!

Technically, if those atoms touch that would be fusion and I doubt you could hold a sun in your hand.

No, because what is being shown here is simply the electron cloud of each atom. Two atoms with overlapping electron clouds are bonded. In order to cause fusion their nuclei must combine.

You reached the end
