Megaconstellations are causing a Kessler Syndrome

Video from Jan 1, 2026, that popped in my feed and I completely missed.

[YouTube AI summary] Anton Petrov examines a study highlighting how high-density satellite networks create a fragile 'house of cards' in low Earth orbit. The analysis focuses on the rapid increase in collision risks due to limited maneuvering time and the potential impact of extreme space weather.

Why do fascists love AI? [37:33] - Caelan Conrad

Why does the far-right love AI slop more than anyone else on the internet? And why should anyone even care? From racist EBT deepfakes to photorealistic images of enemies that never existed to Superman Trump saving a smiling baby (and dog???) from a flood, AI has become the perfect tool for a political movement that needs you to stop thinking and start blindly believing. This video is about propaganda, anti-intellectualism, and what it means that the lie has never been cheaper to execute or harder to spot.

Trump has read one book: *How to Win Friends and Influence People*

This is a bit of an off-my-chest kind of post, but I'm going to share this here anyway:

I have a small observation I want to share with you all. I have a strong suspicion with 99% certainty that if Trump has ever read one book in his obscene life (or listened to, because he's fucking lazy), it was How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

If anyone has read this book before, the first thing that will jump out at you is how Trump turns everything into a convenience for others. He applies positive positioning and other tricks to make the other person like him and see him as an opportunity-maker, even if he doesn't deliver. He even goes so far as to symbolically gesture that he has the other person in the palm of his hand whenever he shakes hands, which is so sleazy.

I wanted to point this out to someone because once you see the inner mechanisms, it can't be unseen. It's so eerie that he follows the book for someone presumed to be illiterate. Maybe even Roy Cohn coached him on this. Either way, it's creepy.

Involuntary purity culture

Screenshot of a Reddit post from r/teenagers. The title reads, "any tips to help me stay a Virgin?"

It body of the post reads: "I am a 18 year old girl and I want to keep my virginity at least until college but sex is just a huge temptation + social pressure.

Since Reddit is full of virgins losers do y’all have any tips?"
