The magnet on the bonnet is pulling the car forwards as much as the magnet hanging on the wire is pulling backwards towards the car, and since they share the same root object (the car) the net motion is zero.

If either of those magnets were rooted on the ground, the car would move (albeit not very far)

Dawn, didn't knew you could do that with lasers. Brilliant

We used to make these all the time as kids. You need a second pair of magnets in push configuration on the back for this to work.

Don't forget the spark plug wrapped in wire that's been taped to a light bulb

With the right electric field you can generate (a small amount of) thrust our of ions in air flowing over a charged plane.

One of the myth-busters "anti-gravity" devices they tested was actually (very weak) a static electric ion thruster.

Pretty cool - but it did need electric power input.

You're going to need a three-way monopole electromagnet if you ever want to reverse.

You need a stronger magnet at the front obviously.

Or it’s a toy American truck and they’re metric magnets. Swap them for federal units.

Water destroys magnets. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Just gotta pull yourself up by your bootstraps and figure out out like i did.

reminds me of the videos of that guy who sits in wheeled bucked ostensibly pushing himself with an umbrella and a leaf blower; guy carries a leaf blower, umbrella and bucket around all the time just to make people look at him. lol
