I also recommend to use https://iosfeeds.com/tools/icon-preview to test on the home screen. I added your image above, and it looks like maybe it would show more detail if it was cropped/zoomed in a bit (similar to the main app icon)
I've already put it on my "creative nerd" backlog :)
just need some time with my other laptop with Inkscape and I'll do it (if someone else doesn't beat me to it.)
pretty sure that comic is copyrighted by the author and voyager wouldn't just use it without permission.
also you really don't need ai to crop out that simple of a shape, you can do it in like 1 minute in GIMP. in fact i don't know if ai background removers would work for drawings, afaik they're usually for photos

It would be super easy to cut it out yourself.
Secondly, as said, it's someone else's work and probably copyrighted. And even if it weren't, it's morally wrong to just take someone's art and use it for stiff like this.

You could probably use an AI website to cut out the dog and chair, if that's what you're going for. Like a remove background service

Cutting stuff out is one of the best use cases for AI that I've seen. Getting an okay-ish cutout by hand is easy, but a good one can take forever.
it's basically content-aware-fill. but the scene and its elements are simple enough that it'd just be better to draw it from scratch for oneself.
Sure, if you can do that. I don't think that's a better solution for getting a cut-out version if that's all you're looking for though.
