Is he seriously posting cringe like this?

My guy he posted about being banned from PoE2, a mostly PvE game, for cheating. Literal man child that cannot beat AI enemies.

114

it shouldn’t be too surprising that he cheats in online games given that he cheats in pretty much every other aspect of his life as well

The richest man on this planet. What the fuck are we doing

35

I'd argue that Putin and perhaps some Saudi royalty are richer but we don't know those numbers. But yeah agreed in general of course.

I didn't even see that one, was it like super obviously "in just so good and amazing and smart they banned me for cheating"

He, or someone he paid to impersonate him online, is the number one Diablo 4 player in the world. I played it for a couple months, it was pretty fun, but to get to that level you'd have to be playing it like it's your job.

Keep in mind, he has an extremely demanding job. Five of them, in fact - CEO of Tesla, Neuralink, Boring, SpaceX, and X Formerly Twitter. And he manages to find enough time in the day to play Diablo 4 at the highest level and also advise the president elect on policy.

So either he's on amphetamines 24/7 to keep up with what I assume is a hellish workload even for companies that rarely need C-level input to function, or he's majorly full of shit and half asses all of his jobs and plays video games all day while boasting about what a successful hardworking guy he is and how he totally deserves that gorillion dollar benefits package.

5

He takes amphetamine and plays games and thinks of stuff others can do for him there is no work involved at any point

1

Could be somewhere in the middle. I imagine there's a cottage industry of designer drugs for the ruling class and their bubble. People say he does a lot of K but if it's K I'm sure it's 100% pure. He probably has access to five different amphetamines, each for a different purpose, with minimal side effects. I truly envy the ultra rich for their no personal risk drug access.

I know if I were a billionaire I'd be hiring the brightest minds in chemistry to create all kinds of drugs, therapeutic, functional, or recreational. Pure and safe. Create a pharmaceutical corporation that does real work and then pay the shadow chemists top dollar for secret R&D. The difference is I would try to find a way to give it away for free. Or find a way to get it to high level criminal leaders to distribute for low cost with high volume. Safe alternatives to fentanyl, etc.

Just daydreaming here as I'm off tomorrow and I only have alcohol and weed.

Edit- to actually respond, I think the only company he really touches with any regularity is Twitter, with obvious motives and results.

SpaceX - Has done very well and genuinely benefitted the progress of humanity. No indication he messes with it much anymore. I'm glad it exists.

The Boring Company - Don't think he's touched it in years. It's a front company to deliver barely more than jack shit and big promises. It's purpose is to undermine high speed rail and other infrastructure, to benefit:

Tesla - Kicked electric cars into high demand which I'm grateful for. But their vehicles suck and they're far too expensive. I don't think he touches this much anymore beyond the cybertruck.

Neuralink - Finally this. I think he lost interest in it. Killed a bunch of apes, helped some severely disabled people. But from what I understand the people who gained in ability are seeing their implants become less and less effective. I like the idea. I would definitely become a cyborg if someone offered, but I don't think I'd let them mess with my brain or spine yet. I hope to see super cool implants developed from the data they've gathered, but they'll probably hoard it. And of course once they're safe, the implants will only be for the ultra wealthy.

Depends, what do you do with the excitement? The fact that this is the news of the world that we get, that the state of the world is what it is right now?

I disagree, I just don’t wish people took some more time to introspect as to what their senses show their surroundings to be, and how.

I can see the British east india trading company saying the same shit you just said, but to Gandhi. I don’t mean it as an attack, just wandering thoughts.

I mean the Taylor Swift thing where he said he'd have her babies and protect her cats was pretty bad and I swear that isn't even close to the worst.

However, I'm not on X though so I don't have to look at the weirdness.

If by “Free speech absolutist”, he means, “big fat fucking liar”, then I agree with his stupid fat ass.

79
lemmy.world

Free speech absolutist

Whenever I hear that, I know the person is one of the following: bigot, fascist, liar, or so dumb they shouldn't have children.

23
lemmy.world

Considering the recent ruling that Twitter owns all of the account data, he could mean all these losers keep uploading their speech for free.

Your thoughts, your ideas, your speech - it was all free, you gave it away to Elon.

2
lemmy.world

In the context of this movie, Musk is Theron, forcing himself on the wife of the protagonist and taking all the gold.

64
lemmy.world

I'm not good at metaphors... Does this mean he's using "X" to shield us from free speech?

51
Lowpastreply
lemmy.world

I mean no, the shield would have to face the other way for it to be blocking free speech.

6

The way “FREE SPEECH” is up at the top, it looks like it’s labeling the rain going past his shield, while he is blocking the rest.

Poor fucker never did have a good grasp on reality.

50
lemm.ee

I kinda hate how they want free speech but when someone they oppose says something that's also considered free speech yep it's blocked.

41
lemmy.world

It's always free speech for me, not for you, and my free speech is the hateful kind, but it's not hateful, you're just woke for saying it is.

40
lemm.ee

"Free speech" means "hate speech" when right-wingers say it.

38

That is the only thing free speech means to them. One sided uninterrupted and unchallenged propaganda.

10
lemmy.ml

Would be funny if chemists couldn't talk about cis and trans isomerisms anymore

26

Historians: "So during the Roman occupation of Cisalpine Gaul..."

X: "Cis alpine? What is this woke shit? You're banned!"

4
midwest.social

As long as he absolutely gets to decide which speech is free and which is very very expensive

23

This, exactly.

All right wingers that scream about freespeech are screaming for the same thing.

The freedom for them to say whatever they want, and the freedom to silence anyone who calls them out and proves them wrong.

14

At this rate, social media companies will start censoring Luigi images like China does Winnie the Pooh.

19

You can't take mexico to europe, we already have Mexico in Europe.

Mexico in Europe: 🇪🇸

He's already doing that.

Both getting to control a country and buying Texas.

14

he would probably invade march, take a lot of women, have a lot of kids, build an army of robots and mutants dodged with advanced military weapons and then he will come to invade the entire earth!! we know the rest!! hahahah !!😆😆😆 i hope this comment will not turn to be the reality one day that guy is crazy😐

1

Everything Musk says is a lie, just like his boyfriend, Trump.

14
lemmy.world

"The new Twitter policy is freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach."

  • Elon Musk

He was never for free speech. Just claimed he was and somehow people ate it up just like they always do with everything else he claims. He said this less than a month after buying Twitter btw.

14

Whatever happened to Elon pulling plugs on critical servers and driving them in rental cars to Sacramento? Why isn’t Twitter dead yet? Did someone finally have the grown up talk?

3

Musk is just another dipshit authoritarian, who thinks "speech" is reserved for people that matter (billionaires). He'll sue the ass off of anyone else whos speech he doesn’t like.

9
feddit.nl

Elon is busy turning X back into an echo chamber, except the pendulum has swung to the other side. It's a shame people find such solace in echo chambers -- intellectualism does not progress if you only speak with people you agree with. Indeed, it narrows conversation and thought so much it just turns into a circle jerk.

Guess what? The real world is nasty and dirty and you are never going to agree with everyone. A preschool isn't as safe a space as what Elon wants to (re)create.

7

I like the balance we've found on Lemmy. We can discuss some pretty conservative ideas, but there's zero intellectual value to transphobia or any other hate speech. People shouldn't be required to re-explain their right to exist every generation.

9

The free speech is also somehow a shield of all things. What will this guy think of buy next?

6

We all know the logical conclusion here is that elon is going to get the nuclear codes. He'll then hold the entire world hostage saying...

"I'm going to do a very cool dance soon. This is a dance that will make everyone want to be BEST friends with me and say, you are the coolest person I know, El-Man! Which is the nickname they'll give me and I'll have jackets made that say it. So I'm going to do this dance on television, I'm going to buy all of the networks that there are and air it simultaneously. Now, if I hear anyone laugh at the dance, which is serious and cool, or post something making fun of this dance on social media (which will again be a very cool dance) then I will incinerate the entire world in a thermonuclear holocaust, a world that mostly consists of my own children and ex wives because honey badger don't care - I'm rick bickh!!!" [Limp starfish jump]

5

somebody who still has a twitter they won't mind seeing get yeeted into the nether (and possibly used for nefarious purposes or dastardly deeds)....

Jump over there and link whatever tweet he said that in; and post "Musk is a fucking fuckface Loser.. That guy who brags about how expensive his truck his because that's the only thing in his life that's impressive."

then please report back how long it takes to get yeeted.

3
sh.itjust.works

Musk is pretty bad about this, but still not as bad as twitter was before he bought it.
